  1. They're showing film on Ian Anderson sporting a Perfect Game jersey. I want to see Ian play either the flute or harmonica.
  2. Well, Pérez won't likely be right. Great do sported by Ben Sheets.
  3. Welcome to the board, AmberHenely. According to MLB.TV, if you travel within the US or Canada, you'd be subject to blackouts based on your physical location. In other words, if you're not in Wisconsin or Iowa — or in parts of Illinois, Minnesota, or Michigan, you should be able to get Brewers games live. If you travel outside the US or Canada, there shouldn't be any blackouts, i.e. you can watch any game you want whenever you want to watch it. Also, games are archived. All broadcasts, including those that were blacked out live, will be available approximately 90 minutes after the game has ended. Here are phone numbers you can call: US: 866-800-1275 International Customers: 512-434-1542 And here's a link that might be helpful: http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/subscriptions/index.jsp?&affiliateId=MLBTVREDIRECT
  4. Ramírez could remain in the orgainzation if he clears waivers. We should know if he cleared tomorrow or Saturday, depending on the time he was placed on waivers. I don't think he can refuse an outright assignment if that's what the team wants to do. Cutting a position player wouldn't have helped the Major League roster at this point. The team is already one position player short in order to accommodate an eight-man bullpen.

  6. Per Matt Arnold on today's TV pregame show, Josh Hader is being promoted to Colorado Springs.
  7. Here's a video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aEzeQoBfEos
  8. Best wishes to Rubén's family. The only articles I'm finding right now are in Spanish. Apparently, Quevedo suffered his heart attack while playing softball at work for Venezuela's Customs and Tax Administration Service.
  9. As of now, we have one starting pitcher who needs to be replaced (Peralta), and his replacement is obvious (Garza). I think the real question that's left is where Wily should go when Matt is ready. No matter what one might think about Hader's readiness for promotion, the only spot that would be available for him would be as a replacement Wily for one start before Garza arrives. Adding Garza is going to bump someone from the 40-man roster. Adding both Garza and Hader would cause two guys to get bumped. That's saying nothing about whoever has to go to make room for Knebel. I think Counsell's assessment was correct when he said, "we have to consider the whole picture here, the whole picture with everybody."

  11. Randy was 25 (almost 26) when he came up to stay. Pitch counts were new, and an acceptable pitch count was higher than it is now. Innings in a season weren't a concern.
  12. Craig said that Davies would have gone out for the eighth had the no-hitter still been intact. He wouldn't comment on what might have happened after that.
  13. I think the seventh would have absolutely had to be Zach's last inning even if he was still at no hits. A similar pitch count after the eighth might have been another story.
  14. Manaea has ended each at bat with a smile even though the outcomes have sucked. BA said that Sean would play first base occasionally in high school. But when he played first, he'd be the guy who was removed from the batting order in favor of the designated hitter.
  15. In this case, you have someone who's obviously awaiting a replacement. And that person isn't Davies.
  16. Thanks! The lead is updated to make him a righty. Sean says he sucks at the plate. I expect him to hit a home run.
  17. I'm getting conflicting information regarding Sean Manaea's handedness at the plate. ESPN has him as a righty, while Rotowire and Baseball Reference have him as a lefty. I guess we'll have to watch and see.

  19. I've never seen it happen, but I'm always afraid that a player will get his spikes caught in the bottom of his pants leg. I prefer the look of stirrups… the real ones, not the fake look that Alex was wearing. You rarely see them these days. But they're available as an option; a player (I don't remember who) wore them last year.
