  1. It's been fun with you guys in the game threads this year...even when I got grief. It's Packer season now, we'll see you all next year. Thanks for having me.
  2. CC sure doesn't seem to like Pomeranz much, does he?? I mean why did they even trade for him if he was hardly going to get used??
  3. I mean...again, I will get accused of bashing CC, but why oh why oh why of all your bullpen options would you pick Junior for that spot?? What has he thought he has seen from Junior all year to think for one second Junior could get you out of that mess?? Honestly, as much as I'd be scared to not have him to close tonight, to me, the choice there should have been Albers with the way he induces groundballs...I just don't get it...at all.
  4. See, other teams have those types of hits fall in...SOMETIMES the Brewers are just victims of bad luck.
  5. In my view it was the decision to send Hiura back down the first time. It wasn't so much about the on field production even though we all knew it was a bad move. It was more about what it said about how badly they really wanted to win. It was almost like yeah he should be here but we owe it to these guys over here even though they are terrible. Right at that point I said this team is in trouble and Stearns is not all in on winning this year. He has made no moves that prove otherwise. He has chewed through a huge amount of good will this season with his lack of foresight and productivity. Agree. Super 2 on a player with a 70 hit tool? Sign the guy to a 8 year contract. If it’s not done before next opening day, Stearns needs to go. Strikes out way too much yet to anoint him IMO. IF he can cut down on that, the sky is the limit for him no doubt about it.
  6. I don't believe you. So if we lose tomorrow night, you will no longer pay attention to them the rest of the season, and stop posting? I just don't believe it. Yup...football season is right around the corner anyway, that's where my focus will be.
  7. Yup and look, it worked. Yet you're right, CC absolutely lost a couple games this year by refusing to do the same thing when it was totally obvious.
  8. I'm still in but barely...hanging by a thread...it all comes down to tomorrow night for me...they lose, the season is officially over IMO and I'm done paying attention. Win, and I will still be in..but barely.
  9. That was against the Pirates, that doesn't really count when you score 13 against a AAAA team.
  10. The transition is easy...because then it's football season Not for me, I gave the NFL up entirely 2 seasons ago. I can't see that changing anytime soon. It really amazes me how many people I have seen recently that don't watch the NFL but LOVE soccer...That just blows me away, I can't imagine life without football. And then a couple months after football starts, College basketball starts, then I'm in my true elements. Football and CBB, to me it doesn't get any better than that. Don't get me wrong, I used to LOVE baseball, I grew up with it, it was my favorite sport for many years, used to score along with Brewer games on the radio even when they were terrible, but the game has changed and it's not the same, and though I like watching the Brewers, I don't follow other teams nearly like I used to.
  11. To me, he's slightly above Ted Thompson as a GM...and I couldn't stand Ted. The only thing I will give Stearns that TT didn't do is at least he spends $$ in Free agency. But again, until his philosophy changes, and he and the organization finally realize they HAVE to spend big on FA pitching, it will be the same old, same old year in and year out.
  12. Does Haines not teach these guys plate discipline?? They swing at more first pitches with runners in scoring position then any team I have ever seen. Such an important AB and you first pitch swing?? Really?? At least it takes 3 pitches to strike out, that would have even been better.
  13. The transition is easy...because then it's football season
  14. Now that was one hell of an approach by Gamel right there...good god
  15. Combined no hitters are such weak sauce. Just my opinion.
  16. And that was your dagger...right through the heart of the Milwaukee Brewers.
  17. It sure seems like Brewer pitchers pay for that more than any other staff in baseball. I'm sure that probably isn't true, but it sure seems like it is.
  18. It was the lead off walk...you CANNOT do that. You just can't.
  19. It's obvious whichever pitcher makes the first mistake tonight will determine the ball game...I know who my $$ is on unfortunately
  20. They just changed it and he is now listed as #1...I'm guessing his PA tonight, made him a qualifier again. You need 3.1 PA per game to qualify.
  21. I'm VERY skeptical it can...maybe for a couple innings..but after that..
  22. I've said it before, but, unless Stearns's philosophy changes about not wanting to pay for pitching, these are the types of season that will become a norm. The philosophy MUST change if they ever want to take that next step. Load up on pitching...starting pitching.
