  1. I'm going to amend my prediction...I will keep the poart the same about the Brewers acquiring one of those listed starters...OR it will be someone not even on that list, and not just a "bit" piece either..An impactful arm. One way or another, I'm betting they WILL have another starter.
  2. Meh...not sure he moves the needle all that much to make a big enough difference. Starter, starter starter...That should be their MAIN focus right now. Need a bullpen arm as well, yes, but a starter is more important. I don't want Lyles anywhere near that upcoming Cubs series.
  3. I agree, they won't have to give up Turang.
  4. I'm not going to go through the whole list...but I'm calling my shot..one of the above named starters not named Tanner Roark, Caleb Smith or Trevor Bauer, will be a Milwaukee Brewer.
  5. What's going to be just as interesting is to see who is in San Antonio's lineup tonight, or if anyone comes out early
  6. Me too, because now his trade value is much higher.
  7. In other words, assuming that list is accurate, here are the teams NOT included on Greinke’s no trade list: * Atlanta Braves * Miami Marlins * New York Mets * Washington Nationals * Chicago Cubs * Milwaukee Brewers * Pittsburgh Pirates * Tampa Bay Rays * Chicago White Sox * Cleveland Indians * Kansas City Royals * Houston Astros * Seattle Mariners * Texas Rangers That is such a Greinke list. No LA teams. No Yankees. Has the Pirates, Rays, Brewers and Royals. And actually if you think about it, the Brewers stand out on this list..a bunch of non contenders, Astros are going other places for Pitching, Cubs don't need him, nor do the Nats(their focus is bullpen), and I can't see the Braves doing it either.
  8. To me, the market has been set for Robbie Ray...the Marcus Stroman deal. Same control. They didn't give up a top 100 prospect, so that's the price to me. Brewers can easily do that.
  9. Couldn't this be as simple as the Padres acquiring Thor, then spinning him to the Brewers?? Maybe the Padres like the Brewers prospects better, then the Mets and this is a way for the Brewers to acquire Thor.
  10. The Brewers don't have the players the D'backs would want for Ray, much less Ray and Peralta/Ahmed. How do you know that?? As of yesterday the Brewers were still "engaged" on Ray. Jon Heyman @JonHeyman · 15h Brewers and Astros remain engaged on Robbie Ray. Yanks and others also interested.
  11. Greinke's no trade list... Greinke can block a trade to the following teams: Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Colorado Rockies, Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Angels, Los Angeles Dodgers, Minnesota Twins, New York Yankees, Oakland Athletics, Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, San Francisco Giants, St. Louis Cardinals and Toronto Blue Jays.
  12. Jon Heyman @JonHeyman · 3m D-Backs, who just fell below .500, could have great sale. Ray, Dyson, Ahmed, Peralta, Chafin, Bradley, Jones are among candidates to go. Greinke’s drawn some interest, but with wisely selected 15-team no-trade list, it’s said to be up to him, “for the most part.” Give me a package deal of Robby Ray and Nick Ahmed...can include Dubon or Arcia(in a package), gotta think that would work for the Dbacks. Would LOVE LOVE LOVE to get David Peralta too..at worst, he and Braun could platoon in left
  13. Package deal...Robby Ray and Nick Ahmed...I'd love it. Jon Heyman @JonHeyman · 3m D-Backs, who just fell below .500, could have great sale. Ray, Dyson, Ahmed, Peralta, Chafin, Bradley, Jones are among candidates to go. Greinke’s drawn some interest, but with wisely selected 15-team no-trade list, it’s said to be up to him, “for the most part.”
  14. He might go too, along with Grisham and Dubon as well. + Others
  15. No....so many were sky high on Corey Ray after last year too...what happened this year?? If Grisham can get you a controllable starter, you do it every single time. You can always find OFers.
  16. Exactly. I think this trade shows Stearns isn't delusional and understands even if we can find a way to win this division, we're simply outclassed by the Braves and the Dodgers who IMO are outclassed by the Yanks and the 'Stros. I just can't see Stearns paying the price to get one of the starters, Syndergaard, Ray, whoever, given where we are. Don't forget Mark A's desire to win.
  17. I don't think so, the tweet said "Grisham has been discussed". Nothing about the Brewers unwilling to part with him.
  18. Judging by the article in the Athletic today, it seems as though they are far from done. Hopeful to acquire two starters and at least a reliever as well. Article also said Dubon is drawing "significant" interest. Mentioned the Brewers also have the trade chips to get just about any deal done they choose.
  19. Arcia and Burnes is even for Lucchesi
  20. He would cost Hader Ummm not even close...according to the trade value website, Davies, Arcia and Burnes gets them awfully close.
  21. I would only deal Burnes if it is for a controllable young-ish starter. The only one who fits the bill for me that is known to be available is Syndergaard and I am even having a hard time with that one. This is why I said earlier today i have a feeling DS is going to pull a rabbit out of his hat and acquire someone that no one even knew was available. Just a hunch.
  22. So long as they go get a stud starter(rumored with Robbie Ray), so Lyles doesn't have to make a start in the Cubs series, I'm okay with it.
  23. FWIW, in a Robert Murray article today in the Athletic he says Mauricio Dubon is drawing "significant interest".
  24. Bob Nightengale @BNightengale · 2h The Houston #Astros will come away with one more starter by Wednesday, and two GMs predict it will be Zack Wheeler from the #Mets
  25. It sucks that San Antonio is off tonight, we can't even monitor their lineup for clues.
