  1. the giveaway from tonight, Sat 1/3, that had the Brewers and Admirals logo on it. we went to the game but weren't early enough to get the hats. If anyone has any extras or would be willing to part with at least one-hoping for a total of 3, I would be very interested and would be willing to pay a small fee. thanks in advance
  2. The time has come again for our Holiday Friends and Family event at Aeropostale. I updated the first post of this thread with the new dates and info and also the coupons are able to be used for online purchases the next 4 days as well. If anyone could use the discount, just PM me your address and I will send one out.
  3. If you want to try out some Wii games or at least check out some info on it there is a Wii Experience area in Mayfair mall. They don't actually sell anything there I don't think, but they have about ten TV's and game systems set up for anyone to try out and play some of the games. I think it's mostly just trying to get extra publicity for the Wii before the holiday season, but it looks to be a pretty fun way to try things out.
  4. haven't seen any shot glasses, but I haven't really been looking for them. So far I've tried to keep just about anything. 2 ticket stubs from Sunday 3 of the rally towels from the Brewers 2 of the TBS/FOX postseason towels from the pep rally 2 wristband raffle tickets from the rally 2 of the Octoberfest signs looking for a complete mini-magnet set from this year. I have about half of them, but stopped buying them during the slide in mid September.
  5. Day one went well for me as well. I basically ignored the cell phone and radio on the way home from work and was able to watch the game on DVR without breaking down and looking up the score first. I was very tempted to at least look at the box score around the 6th or so when we still didn't have any hits yet. Hopefully tomorrow will go just as well, I plan on leaving work right at 5, getting home and being caught up to live action by about the 4th inning. Hopefully watching it live at the end of the game means there will be a different final outcome!!!
  6. I've been playing around on there since Feburary and made it up to about $65000. Not great, but I didn't really start paying attention that much until about 3 months ago. Weeks4MVP--did you make most of your protrade money in challenges or just regular trading?
  7. Andersoc420--If the lots don't open until 3 hours prior to the game, that would be 2:30 not 1:30. I don't know the answer to that though, I guess I just assumed they would stick with the 3 hour rule.
  8. How about CC throwing and Braun catching? It would never happen, but it would be a riot to see.
  9. Thought about this thread last week, but didn't want to jinx anything with a "if we make the playoffs" and there is already a pretty big following with wet pants for that idea. So I've changed it up a little. If the Brewers win a playoff series, I am going to: take a full week off of work to watch them in the LCS, try my best to keep as many souvenirs as possible without getting tipsy and either destroying them or losing track of them, quit smoking, I told my parents I would do it if they made the playoffs before the season started, so I guess now is the time to pay up. I know that I'm not the only one who would make crazy rationalizations like this, so tell me Brewerfan, what would you do--other than pee in inappropriate places!
  10. I don't really have the option to watch it during the day Wednesday so I am going to try my hardest to DVR it and totally tune out all info about the game until I get home but it is going to be near impossible. I usually only listen to local AM radio, so it will have to be a quiet ride home. I upped my text message package during the last week of games because of the shear number of messages I was getting and responding to, so I will have to turn my phone off. I'm afraid I will do perfectly fine until walking out of the mall at 5 and having to overhear someone shout out the score or at least if we won or lost.
  11. I'm totally aboard the Yo starting and McClung closing train playoff train. I'm usually up late, but I just don't know if I will sleep at all tonight. I can't wait for the pep rally at Summerfest tomorrow.
  12. Terrace reserved down in the right field corner, but in the stadium none the less!!! I second the question of when does an actual time based playoff schedule come out? I looked forward on my DVR and Saturday on TBS says the game starts at 5, but I'm not too confident in that yet.
  13. Let me suggest Carsten Charles whatever your last name is.I was thinking Carsten Charles Brewerfan. Last names are becoming so arbitrary anyhow.
  14. I would love to see a rotation of Game 1-Yo, piggybacked with Suppan Game 2-CC, piggybacked with CC Game 3-Bush, piggybacked with Parra Repeat throughout the playoff run. Torres would be my set up guy and McClung the closer. I know it wouldn't be likely but I personally feel that would be the best way to utilize our talent.
  15. Just re-read the preseason prediction article from Brewerfan staff. It is shocking how spot on some of the predictions were. Gave me that extra fuzzy feeling going into the game that comes from expecting greatness, but not knowing what the future will bring. Prediction Article from 3/28/08
  16. Pretty much what I posted in the silver lining thread because I am optimistically excited about the game. At worst we end the year at 89-73, basically right where most of us thought the record would be before the season started. For me there is just a lot to be thankful for going into the biggest Brewer game of my life basically, I was 3 in '82. Tomorrow will be the fifth time this year that I get to see CC pitch for the Brewers in person and about the tenth time overall. We still have a chance to make the playoffs on the last day of the regular season. The Mets game starts one hour before the Brewer game, so we will be able to scoreboard watch all game and now where we stand as soon as the last out is recorded. The ratio of Cubs to Brewers fans the last two days has been pretty good and tomorrow's game having this big of an impact, I am hoping even more Brewer fans are there and proud of the season and the team.

Oh, and I decided that I am going to win the powerball drawing tonight and offer to help Mark A with CC's contract offer next year!!!
  18. I don't know if I've seen the 'email the booth' this year. I think it might all be the text message to Craig and Trenni, you might be able to get through with that.
  19. IF we clinch today, which in my mind depends on if the Mets play or not, this is the lineup I would like to see tomorrow. C-Salome 1B-Rivera(assuming Russel can't play the field) 2B-Weeks SS-Escobar 3B-Lamb LF-Dillion CF-Gwynn RF-Nelson From the stress levels I've felt being at the last few games, I'm sure it would be a huge relief for the starters to have 1 day to all sit around and relax.
  20. I started thinking about McClung as McCloser next year back when the Brewers where in Chicago and he came in to throw 4 k's in 2 innings. The look in his eyes and the way he has really gone after hitters lately remind me of Gagne back in his Dodger days. He just looks like he believes he can get anyone out at anytime.
  21. back to the magic!! http://images.yuku.com/image/pjpeg/ca0257a93472ff406691fa4e21adb4dac3ddd68.pjpg
  22. I agree with the general consensous of starting Escobar. I would prefer if JJ played, but I'm not going to doubt GormanHarvey, hopefully it could possibly just be out for the one night. Batter vs. Pitcher for the year Bill hall vs Dempster--0-9, 4 K's, 1 GIDP Craig Counsell vs Dempser--2-3 JJ Hardy vs Dempster--1-10, 1 K, 1 BB 3TO--hasn't faced Dempster this year, but is 0-3 lifetime with 3 K's and 1 BB I would give just about anything to see Hall not in the lineup tonight with those stats. edit to add Branyan's statline

  24. could you just imagine if someone who gets the free tickets for the game and then wins on of the giveaways? talk about an awesome night thanks to Gagne!!
