  1. I understand this being Torres' ining and all, but don't you have to at least have one of the several guys in the pen warming up Ned? edit--and now you get up a lefty when there are no lefty batters coming up for the Marlins. really Ned, really
  2. so much for detsroying the left handed pitching this week. this might be the worst stretch of hitting that the Crew has put up in a long while. it has to end sometime soon right?
  3. Torres looked really good that inning. It's so nice to see a reliever come in and get the side out 1-2-3
  4. They mentioned it a little bit earlier but didn't really say much. I would guess that there was no major setbacks, and they will be able to gauge his availability for Tuesday by how sore he is tomorrow.
  5. It would be so nice to have a right handed option on the bench right now when all you need is a fly ball.
  6. Another solid outing for Villy tonight. Are we going to have to see him get another at bat here even though he is over 100 pitches?
  7. TLB--do you know who the Marlins announcers are? just curious if they are the standard media guy and ex player combo
  8. What's even better is that they are talking about airing it this early in the game as well.
  9. Corey, this is hussle, just thought you might want to see it signed Ryan Braun
  10. I realize that, I was just saying that is almost the conversation that I expect Bill and Brian to have for at least one inning. I am actually impressed they have stayed away from it so far.
  11. wow Prince was out by a mile with any kind of decent throw there.
  12. Dear Bill and Brian, I vaguely remember some guy named Jordan who might have went from the NBA to the MLB. Seriously they've talked about it this much and haven't mentioned Jordan yet, I am really surprised.
  13. Gorman--I didn't actually see your post before I typed mine and I totally agree with you. The non-hussle is the kind of thing that I would like Yost to get on players about sometimes. I usually think of Hart as a hard nosed player, but he has really seemed to not go 100% in the outfield this year.
  14. I don't think Hart could've caught that one anyway, but it sure didn't look like he was running all that hard in an attempt either.
  15. We need to capitalize on their mistakes and score more than one run this inning. Come on Rickie
  16. I think everyone is still down from the past couple of games. With the way the Marlins are playing defense tonight looks to be much better. Nice job on the squeeze CV!!!!!
  17. Is this Hendrickson the same guy with the tattoo sleeves on both arms? I think he played for the Marlins and someone complained so now he always has to wear long sleeved shirts.
  18. Chad Moeller was DFA'd by the Yankees on Sat, but if no one picks him up he has said he will return to their triple A team. His line for the year (or week) 7 for 20, 1HR, 5 runs, 3 rib and a 1.035 OPS.
  19. I take back everything that I said earlier in the week about facing all the lefties and how as soon as the Hamels game was over I was so excited to see all the runs we were going to score. I'm sorry for putting all of the pressure on the offense and I didn't realize how stellar Moyer and Olsen were and how hittable Hamels actually was. Obviously I was way off in my predictions.
  20. I admitt that I don't follow the NBA much at all, but one thing that I heard about this amazed me. I'm not even sure if I heard it correctly, but I believe someone on ESPN (I don't know who, it was just on in the background) said NBA players are tested 4 random times a year, but they have to fail 3 tests before anything happens. Is that actually correct, does anyone know any more about this?
  21. I totally agree with the arrogance part. Listening to Bruce Froeming (sp?) after the game the other night made me realize how much umping has changed in the last few years. I know that in Brewer games and others I have watched, there seems to be several umps that almost antagonize players and managers into getting thrown out of games. They can preach that they deserve respect from the players, but just as in the rest of the world, you should have to show respect to earn it back.
