  1. Is there an offense efficiency stat out there? Given the emphasis on time of possession and use of the play clock raw points aren't necessarily the best way to judge the offense.
  2. How huge is that fake, fake 4 down try earlier
  3. I'd agree with MSG being the clear choice with the diversity of events in so many different sports. After that it seems rather up in the air, or tends to be very sport specific.
  4. I think longevity also meant more prior to free agency. Drafting a guy who is going to be a positive contributor for over 20 years in the starting rotation. Put another way if you had asked me if a first round draft pick would have netted us someone to plug into our rotation at the dawn of the Brewerfan.net era and he'd still be pitching away at the backend of the rotation, I'd have taken that in a second.
  5. I'll go with 3, having gone this far I see the players having less incentive until Spring training would normally be underway.
  6. I think the challenge rules are fine, part of the difficulty watching at that level is that it's more like baseball and calling balls and strikes and challenging those then fair or foul calls and tag plays or football rules. To be more clear its easy to see a lot of really close calls almost every match that it is almost more of a need for rob-ump type situation. Though I don't know how to implement that for touches.
  7. That was one awesome game. That overtime set was pretty epic. I watch a lot of high school volleyball, and do some line judging so not withstanding that last challenge the officiating was very impressive to me overall.
  8. Are you in a poor spot for getting normal antenna reception for local channels? With the Air TV players you can grab antenna signal and send it with the rest of you Sling TV signal. For all the cabin folks I also just figured out that with the newest Air TV Anywhere. Since it converts the signal all the way to the internet you can literally set the Air TV Anywhere player in any location (like say WI) and get those local stations on a second Sling device (say MN). This works on the Sling AP if you download it on your phone for the second device as well.
  9. Our family enjoys Bluebloods quite a bit and in many ways as a family drama where the family is reasonably healthy and not a dysfunctional wreck. We were big Numbers fans years ago and appreciated it for similar reasons.
  10. Very glad I got to watch last night as well.
  11. With Air TV players you can pull in local stations on the same display as your sling and DVR on both now. The only significant issue I've had over the years with that combo is that I live in a urban TV reception pit, and I a few of my local stations I have some difficulty getting reception on reliably.
  12. After the graphic on the game Sunday night I'd be kind of excited to see us pass the Bears on the all time franchise wins list this year. Only 2 wins back now.
  13. It tends to be noticeable right away, so I don't think overheating is an issue. OS is definitely up to date. My Network strength is high as well. I tested it the other night I could stream Disney+ just fine through my Xfinity box, but not without buffering on the firestick.

    Pizza

John's Pizza Cafe is a pretty good thicker crust style, Mamma's Pizza is probably our family favorite, they do a thin crust and an embarrassing amount of toppings. I rank both ahead of Pizza Luce
  15. I remember liking the call at the time, because of the weirdness were giving up a quick field goal did turn out not to be that bad. I couldn't imagine a normal team thinking that way (blah, blah confidence in our defense and other coach speak). I'm curious how often in end of the game situations anymore teams can get 30 yards or so to get into FG range in that situation assuming they had punted instead. Putting the other team in 4 down territory certainly makes it tougher to play defense.
  16. I just got a Firestick, and was wondering if anyone had any ideas on why it might be doing noticeably worse on a Speed Test than my laptop? I'm using it primarily to stream Sling and my over the air channels via an AirTV anywhere device. It definitely appears to be Firestick specific because I have an Xfinity box and it doesn't give me the buffering issues I first noticed. I'd just use that for Sling, but it's not compatible with the Over the Air parts. I tried restart it and clearing the cache, and It doesn't quite seem to make a difference. It's only 3-4 ft from my router.
  17. Do a better job with allocating competitive balance draft picks perhaps?
  18. I'm all for at least acknowledging that statistically you have to think there is some bounce back in Bradley, but .160 is so bad and he had a lot of chances to show anything positive that there is a lot of reasonability to thinking that he is more likely to see that positive bounce back outside of Milwaukee. Under older models of bench usage the defense might be enough to justify wasting only 100 ABs but even a 5th OFer is going to get too many these days. My over all take is that this is very much how Stearns seems to operate, not chasing flexibility for the sake of flexibility but instead pursuing flexibility in the sense of making a large number of moves that he believes all offer a net positive, and because of the sheer volume and eye towards flexibility he can move on relatively easily from those that don't work as intended. So he'll keep churning some prospect in and some out.
  19. I'm also against playoff expansion. I'm not going to boldly predict I'll change my viewing habits, but the empirical reality as a fan is that I already spend way less time analyzing offseason moves and prospect lists than I did 15+ years ago, and I have adjusted over the years to watching fewer Packer games than I would like since I'm out of state. I already miss a lot of playoff games anyway, more rounds doesn't make more must see TV it means less. No sense getting excited about a playoff run until they are in the World Series afterall (again think how much Packer fandom has changed to not caring all that much until the NFC championship game).
  20. Oddly enough as excited about the stop as I was, it might have been even better if Clark let himself get dragged just far enough to give up the first down. In theory the offense could have probably run 1 more play faster than getting the FG team out there, but as long as they don't give up a TD on that play they get the Rams running even more clock.
  21. Can Douglass play WR?
  22. All good things for the Rams on that drive was taking less than a minute off the clock.
  23. Bonus point for making the Rams use a timeout on defense already.
  24. You don't want a bunch of rookie WR obviously, but it definitely seems like it would be reasonable to try someone else for Lazard's spot and see if he can develop further.
