  1. I would like to see what the team ERA and WHIP was as well but it would certainly be encouraging. If it was strictly the bullpen I would say the Brewers would have a good chance of being contenders again in 2013.
  2. I saw it was Paul Molitor and Carl Yastrzemski's birthday yesterday and the third guy on the list was Urban Shocker.
  3. I would guess nobody.
  4. They don't need to do Lesnar/HHH but it will likely be done to set up the Lesnar/Untertaker and HHH/? Wrestlemania matches. Wouldn't be surprised to see Michaels turn on HHH.
  5. If nobody claims hims and he signs a new deal as a free agent with another team I can't imagine they would be on the hook for the option but I don't have anything to reference.
  6. It's been a tough year for Wolf but overall I think it was a good signing and I certainly won't forget his performance at St Louis in the NLCS last year. I hope that he gets picked up by a contender and can help them the remainder of the season. It might actually work out for him that he was released prior to September 1.
  7. I agree he isn't giving himself a chance but it is also a good indication that he just can't hit major league pitching. His current stats with the Brewers are as good a sample size as any because no team has ever given him the chance that the Brewers did this year and no team likely ever will again because of his poor year.
  8. You are making a silly assumption and have broken logic, he has been horrible his whole career and has been trending down, why are you ignoring that? Like I said before he is also old so not getting any better. He had a 585 ops in 2009, 578 in 2010 and 546 ops in 2011. You are the one ignoring what he had done in his career and basing your expectation on 52 at bats with Arizona this year.
  9. He is old and terrible so there really isn't a reason he is still on the team. It shouldn't be that hard to find a shortstop that hits better than .180, has an ops greater than .600 and doesn't strike out half the time.
  10. So they kind of received cash by not paying him for two months, Segura is certainly cheaper.
  11. Kind of WWE and Brewers related, Hornswoggle will be throwing out the first pitch Wednesday against the Cubs so make sure you arrive early for the game.
  12. The season is lost but it would have been nice to see Rogers get his first win.
  13. I'm a big fan of Hart but what do the Giants have that the Brewers might want. I could see him potentially falling to the Giants but it's still likely somebody before them would claim him.
  14. I really don't understand why they didn't set up the double play but I don' t care anymore.
  15. There isn't really any potential callups that excite me. I would like to see if Bianchi could be the utility guy but I doubt he would get playing time with Segura starting and Ransom still on the roster. I would also like to see if Sanchez could be part of the bullpen next year but he isn't on the 40 man.
  16. http://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2012/08/astros-acquire-tyler-greene.html Astros acquire Tyler Greene from the Cardinals for a PTBNL or cash. Taylor Green is still in Nashville.
  17. PKBadger, Narveson was left off your list but not sure how much he will be looking for with his injury. Maybe you don't think they will offer him a contract along with Parra, Loe, and Veras. Morgan is probably gone as well.
  18. I'm the complete opposite of you, I think they are easily a playoff team this year and will be much improved. I guess we'll see but they should be above .500 this year.
  19. I think it is a fluke but I also can't ignore his second half stats. I would give him the starting job the rest of the year and see how it looks in October.
  20. It is very promising that he has pitched this well but I wonder if Melvin will consider shutting him down sometime in early September.
  21. There is no indication that Gamel is a suitable replacement for Hart or that Gamel has a high ceiling. Not sure I understand your biggest dropoff comment, it is a big dropoff, not a biggest dropoff from what?
  22. I'll stick with one. I appreciate your work in trying to get this produced but I didn't like it enough to buy multiples.
  23. They could have waited until June and kept him another year but it looks like they may want him to start the remainder of the year and be the opening day starter next year.
