  1. Yeah right, Gamel is horrible so there is plenty to debate.
  2. It would be great to have him back and would be the best Brewers backup shortstop in a long time. However, there must be a team out there willing to let him compete for a starting job.
  3. A New York Post article today stated that the Brewers think highly of Dickey but didn't elaborate any further. Based on what they are asking the Red Sox to give up for Dickey however I don't think it is too promising the Brewers get him.
  4. Hughes scares me a little bit, I remember a couple of season ago he had shoulder issues and a drop in velocity. He was okay last year but nothing special.
  5. I don't think anybody gets in this year to be quite honest.
  6. Skiles has actually done a good job for the most part of playing the guys that are playing well as he knows there is a lot of talent on this team but does has limited options at guard. And yes Ellis is still a much better player than Lamb but I am certainly not opposed to giving Lamb more minutes as I can't see the Bucks giving Ellis the big bucks after this year so they will need a replacement.
  7. Per Tom Haudricourt the Brewers add five to the 40 man roster: Nick Bucci Hiram Burgos Khris Davis Scooter Gennett Josh Prince http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/sports/180167081.html

  9. This is not the game to blame Ellis for the loss, Jennings just had one of those games where he ends up shooting 5-18. They should still be fine but it is going to happen every once in a while because Jennings/Ellis are pretty much always going to shoot the most.
  10. According to the New York Daily News: "(They) would want a monster package for (R.A.) Dickey, and if they don’t get it, probably would not trade him. They aren’t approaching teams on this, but they’re letting teams come to them." The executive thinks the Mets would ask for "a few high-end prospects or major leaguers, likely outfielders or catching help. So it looks like they are sticking with catching and outfield help in order to get a deal done.
  11. Who do you think then that the Brewers would have to trade to get him? None of us here are Doug Melvin and can pull the trigger on a deal I'm curious what it would take to get Dickey not if somebody would approve or not approve of the trade.
  12. If the hall of fame voting was disclosed to the public I would agree with you but the way it is set up now you don't know who voted for what player or didn't vote for a player. With these awards everybody is open to scrutiny and if somebody was tempted to not vote for Braun they had to think twice about criticism they would receive.
  13. I'll take second, Braun did much better than I thought he would and wasn't left off a ballot.
  14. It would be very difficult to get Stanton since he still isn't making any money and is really their only marketable player at this point.
  15. I wish he would be a little more selfish and try to score more because Skiles for whatever reason isn't giving him a lot of minutes. If he scored more and became more aggressive on the offensive end it would be more difficult to sit him.
  16. I would be real happy with a three year contract as I have to see more than one good year in the minors from Morris before having confidence in him.
  17. I don't think Gindl has a whole lot of value after last year and I think Mets are looking more centerfield. Maybe Schafer/Maldonado and another pitcher like Helwig or even Gomez instead of Schafer but again I don't know how other teams perceive Dickey. There are probably teams that wouldn't give much but likely a couple willing to overpay for a Cy Young pitcher.
  18. It has been mentioned that they are looking for catcher and outfield help which the Brewers could offer. I guess I don't know the value of a guy like Dickey who is a fairly old journeyman pitcher but had a Cy Young type season last year.
  19. It sure looks like a borderline 50 win team at this point as they have an abundance of good players. Come playoff time that will hurt them as they still don't have a superstar but over the long haul of the season they will win plenty of games.
  20. Political ads, mainly the one that repeats a borderline cuss word in the senate race and my kids have heard about a hundred times.
  21. Some more information: http://waukesha.patch.com/articles/brewers-pitcher-rodriguez-charged-with-domestic-abuse This pretty much guarantees he will not be returning as a Brewer since it would be such bad publicity with the recent domestic abuse incidents in the Milwaukee area.
  22. Well cannon is what Disney says it is now but they are probably more concerned about the next trilogy fitting in with the previous six films and not necessarily everything else. I'm sure they will steal an EU character here and there,
