He could have been this year's rally monkey or squirrel if they would have won in the bottom of the 13th. Banana Man might have even shown up on the World Series ring.
It is interesting that Braun already has the same amount of hit by pitches that he had all of last year. I'm not a big supporter of protection but this is one area where it hurts not to have Fielder in the lineup.
MLBPA has had the ability to but did not because they must have felt he was still an independent arbitrator. Something stinks when MLB fires him the first time the independent arbitrator disagrees with them.
I don't know much about Bianchi but it makes me feel a little better that we might have a better option at shortstop and he is only 25. Also looking at the box score nice to see the Hurricane try to make it back to the big leagues.
I have MLB TV and was listening to the road broadcast of all of Braun's at bats and it sure seemed like the radio guys for the Padres don't really like him. They kept on bringing up the boos without ever mentioning the cheers and also mentioned how he ruined his reputation forever and will never get it back. In his first at bat he said that Kemp was a much better baseball player and now we know he was on steroids.
I would have said no a few years ago but all I really need to do is look at Corey Hart and his walk and plate discipline getting better every year from 2008. If Hart can get better so can Braun.
Delmon Young charged with a hate crime assault. It happened on the six year anniversary of him throwing a bat at an umpire. http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/04/27/in-addition-to-assault-delmon-young-is-being-charged-with-a-hate-crime-for-anti-semitic-remarks/
The fact that Michaels is now going 4 hours and the station is pleased with his ratings reflects poorly on the D list. If they can't beat him they might as well start over.
This is a slow, painful death for the Bucks this year, wouldn't surprise me in the least if they are not eliminated until the last game of the regular season.
I guess I don't get frustrated with him because it's not really his fault and it's not due to lack of effort. I wouldn't be surprised to see him DH in a couple of years.
Can't disagree with that, his numbers have been real good since 2010 and his contract runs out next year when he is 31 and hopefully Gindl can take over at league minimum so that they can afford some pitching.
Yeah, the contract with Weeks will end just shortly after he turn 33 so hopefully the Brewers can resist the temptation in signing him to a bad contract.
According to Jim Bowden on Twitter, the Reds have offered Brandon Phillips a six year $72.5 million contract. Not sure where all of this money is coming from and if it is wise to give a 31 year old second baseman a contract like that.
