  1. Vaughn has been pretty weak against RHP his entire career, especially for a 1B. Can't see the Brewers trading aways somebody like Bauers that is actually producing. There is a reason Vaughn sits so much. Vaughn is certainly valuable as the Brewers have had their issues agains LHP but more valuable when he has a platoon partner like Bauers.
  2. It is pretty obvious super 2 will be changing from the recent proposals so no point in trying to time that.
  3. Have to believe Rob Zastryzny will be back this weekend. Maybe keep Rodriguez tonight in case they need some innings after Crow.
  4. The teams have different interpreations of what it means when Marmol points at his ribs,
  5. I would bet on nothing happening today but will make the 5 game series in St Louis in July when it is 100 degrees rather interesting. The chop is one thing, but then to double down on accusing Marmol is another.
  6. I agree, those types of plays tend to have an impact longer term on the game. Who knows what would have happened but certainly would have been better than the rest of the game ended. Plus, their bullpen may have been worse off today.
  7. Low key it is good that the Brewers can't hold onto Burnes, Adames, Williams, Peralta, Contreras, Turang. They really could be worse off if they paid their guys long term.
  8. Harrison isn't another Priester type that can be easily replaced by doing what the Brewers do. Harrison is basically a Sabathia replacement and that took about 20 years. Would be all for trying to buy out a couple of years of free agency, maybe a chance since there is one more cheap year in 2027.
  9. Right handed pitching out of the bullpen has has been a weakness of this team so understandable why Patrick would move there. I like Patrick as a starter probably more than most but bullpen sure seems like the route the Brewers are going. Don't think the depth is as deep as it initially appears either with Gasser having much to prove and Crow only pitching 50 innings in 2025 and hardly at all in 2024. Not counting on Priester at all. Hoping Woodruff can be a starter down the stretch and into the playoffs but that hasn't worked real well the last few years.
  10. $15 million a year for a couple of years of a 4 WAR player is not much of anything, there would be plentry of takers.
  11. Have Yeli sit a couple of days and back in the lineup or Greg Jones, tough choices.
  12. The Brewers official site has Gasser starting even though no transaction yet
  13. Having Yelich available to hit is worth more than Crow on the roster guaranteed to do nothing. Strz can save the bullpen some on ngs in a blowout.
  14. Rob Z is on the 60 day IL so can't be back for a bit longer. However with the off day Thursday don't see Crow sticking around when they can add another bullpen guy or spot starter Sunday. Leave Sproat, Miz, Harrison against the Cubs.
  15. I don't know, if they are trying to pad his wins being an opener isn't going to do it. Hoping Patrick gets the start or at least the bulk of the innings after an opener. Keep him stretched out as they may have to do some load managment on other starting pitching during the season but Patrick shouldn't have any inning limitations.
  16. What? That is all you see around here can't do anything right.
  17. Which is exactly what teams like the Brewers take advantage of. Other teams trade and sign has beens that are beyond their best years and Brewers get a more talented guy that is cheaper. It's kind of necessary in the current structure of MLB with players taking so long to get paid what they are worth but leaves opportunity for other more frugal teams.
  18. Regarding Caballero and the pitch clock he has been doing that for a while, I know they don't see the Yankees much but somebody on the Brewers staff should know that. It was the correct call, everything is very technical now, umps are getting calls reversed by less than .1 inches so they will call something like that every time, no ump show there. Contreras did a good job adjusting after.
  19. I would put Patrick at meeting expectations and not underperforming but splitting hairs at that point. Also depends on individual expectations as I thought Turang would play at a MVP level so meeting my expectations.
  20. With Jones gone the Brewers have an open 40 man spot plus there is no way Priester is back before his 60 days so the Brewers have availablility on the 40 man if they want to add a guy like Leonard..
  21. Was expecting worse news on Chourio so good with him in LF instead of Black being in the lineup.
  22. Will be interesting to see what transactions are made and what the lineup looks like. Would like Murphy to get creative a bit and try to get Vaughn/Bauers/Black all in the same lineup against Leahy but thinking not.
  23. He's been doing that all season, all his career yet his still productive when he plays. Nothing has changed. After five years in the majors he finally crossed the one season 162 game threshold and is a 4 WAR player.
  24. Lucroy Interview I don't know if this is a new interview or not but interesting to hear Lucroy talk about being traded and how it went down. Not sad that Stearns is gone, sounds like a piece of work. Kind of annoying former players Cody Allen and Kevin Pillar always interupting but a good listen from Lucroy.
  25. Nope, that was paid in 2025 as part of his 2025 contract,
