Dodgers interested in Aramis Ramirez
Outlander replied to slappzilla's topic in Transaction Rumors & Proposals
If they could somehow unload Ramirez and Weeks they definitely could afford Greinke. -
Sure about that are you? Gomez keeps batting leadoff while Weeks bats way down the order. That is a completely different situation. One is who will get the playing time, the other is lineup positioning.
-
We are the most likely to be left out but it is still more likely than not that we will get a pick. Looking at the list about half of the teams might be trying to add players by the trade deadline so it will be interesting to see how willing they will be to trade their free pick.
-
I honestly believe Bianchi will be given a chance because Roenicke see his shortstops are hitting 186/297/314 and 212/231/271, respectively. If Bianchi plays anywhere close to average offensively it will be an improvement.

Mike Fiers - Your 2009, 22nd round pick
Outlander replied to Bombers's topic in Milwaukee Brewers Talk
One of the interesting parts of that Beyond the Box Score is that so many of his curve balls are being called balls when they are actually strikes. -
I'm actually fine with this move since Ersan will be in his 20's for the life of the contract and they still have future cap flexibility, especially with the team option the fifth year. They actually remain in good position money wise to sign Jennings to an extension as well.

28 days They are both younger than I thought they were, being only 25 years old.
-
Don't bring the Packers into the conversation as setting the bar because that hall of fame is watered down. Mentioning Tyler Houston is silly, as Rickh150 noted there are plenty of Brewers deserving of the honor.
-
That is your opinion, I tend to agree with him. Very few of those prospects will have as good a career as Hart or be able to even match his production over the remainder of his career.
-
I never knew about the amnesty waiver process until now. I wonder if a team like the Bucks could put in a waiver claim for a guy like Elton Brand at league minimum or close to minimum and then trade to a contender that is over the cap.
-
Good thing they did that double switch to keep Veras in there.
-
Yep, it was a double switch just to do a double switch and resulted in Izturis batting in a key situation.
-
I don't think the Bucks will amnesty Gooden because he is still owed $20 million and isn't a complete stiff.
-
No I don't think they are friends. There is video on Yahoo where he says he should have won it and it bothered him that Braun tested postive. So yeah Kemp is still bitter, but it doesn't really bother me if he snubbed Braun from the HR derby.
-
Maybe it's about time they give Jim Henderson a shot.

Violet Beauregarde from Willy Wonka. Also known as Denise Nickerson.

Google will save you rather easily if you want to know the answer.
-
Yes, Izturis is a sunk cost and therefore they should not hesitate to dump him and bring up the young shortstop.

Link Report for Sun. 7/1 - Wow, July already!
Outlander replied to Jim Goulart's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
Is this because of the surgery he had or was his arm strength always questioned? It's just hard to watch Izturis/Ransom/Maysonet everyday knowing there is no future for any of them and they are all hitting around the Mendoza line. -
Link Report for Sun. 7/1 - Wow, July already!
Outlander replied to Jim Goulart's topic in Brewers Minor League Talk
I really hope that the Brewers give the hot hitting Jeff Bianchi a chance this year as the Shortstops in the majors don't have any future with the Brewers. Bianchi is only 25 and it would be nice to see if he can play at the big league level. -
Along with the draft it will be interesting to see what rookie free agents they sign because there will be a few roster spots open.
-
Credit to Mass Haas for finding the tweet from Thornburg's high school that he would be starting.
-
Well it did look like Jeff Suppan was in that 80's photo the Brewers did so you never know ....

Some of the best looking I have seen are Inception, the new Star Trek, Hugo, pretty much every Pixar movie including Up and Toy Story 3, and as odd as it seems Casablanca. Gladiator did get trashed video wise when it was released but it has since been fixed.
