  1. Nice job by the pitching again, unfortunate Houser had an off day but as noted before can't win a game scoring zero. Have to find a way to score runs tomorrow. Think the home crowd and energy can push them to victory on Thursday but need to get there first.
  2. Does Yelich begin the game on the bench and go with Taylor/Cain/Garcia? Assume it is Urias at 3B and Escobar at 1B even after Rowdy's big game.
  3. It was mentioned recently that things would stay the same with Hader. https://www.mlb.com/news/josh-hader-2021-postseason-role
  4. Really don't like the thought of Gustave pitching in the playoffs but understand it isn't the Brewers fault.
  5. Win number 1 of 11 this post season come today for the Brewers.
  6. I bought Games 3 and 4 of the NLCS, hoping to be there for a clincher. Appeared to be quite a few tickets available in many sections.
  7. If I could get off of work early I would go today, tickets under $20 before fees.
  8. Someone else can correct me, but I don't think the math allows for this. I think you can get it close to even, or exactly even with a slight adjustment of games played. Travel is the biggest problem. And the only way to resolve the travel problem is to play the entire series against a team at once. Which opens up a whole new set of fairness problems due to tanking or just the randomness of injuries and hot/cold streaks. That's why it makes sense to do things geographically and why it's ok to recognize that the Dodgers already lost to the Giants. If each team played each other the same amount of time there would be no need for the NL or AL
  9. I have been to some games with great weather come playoff time and they still closed the roof. I'm not getting my hopes up.
  10. I don't recall playing the Cubs or White Sox in previous playoff years so I'm not sure what this means. It was a packed house for the NLDS in 2018 against the Rockies.Season ticket holders made tons of money off Cubs fans because it looked like they would play them. Of course the stadium will sell out, doesn't mean there is a large market where fans will overspend.
  11. The market for these NLDS games was predictable but sellers will lose money if selling at face. Win some, lose some, no Chicago fans to pump up the prices this time around.
  12. Ryan Braun is no longer on the Brewers so can cheer for the Brewers again. I kid, but a family member actually mentioned that to me.
  13. Tough loss for the Mariners. Had first and third no outs in the 7th as well as a leadoff double in the 9th but couldn't score and lose 2-1. Would love to see either the Mariners or Blue Jays eliminate one of the Red Sox/Yankees but facing an uphill battle
  14. Would be great if the Brewers pulled off this game to guarantee the Dodgers the Wild Card. The Dodgers could then throw the B team against Burnes tomorrow.
  15. It hasn't really been an issue in the past with pretty much unlimited players but does the 10 day waiting period still apply if optioned today? Probably doesn't matter too much as can just option Rea and he isn't going to be on the NLDS playoff roster without injury but just curious.
  16. Maybe Keston is still a potential option for the playoff roster as a bat off the bench.
  17. Weren't you the same one who was giving the Cardinals a fighter's chance to win the division at this time last week? We're probably talking about very similar odds here. .2% so a little better for the Phillies but not much. He sees the light now.
  18. For different reasons but stinks that he has not been available to pitch in the playoffs the last couple of years.
  19. The movie I am looking most forward to is the new Ghostbusters movie.
  20. Really don't care about this game and won't likely watch any of it unless I see Woodruff has a no hitter or something. Would get some pleasure in the Cardinals not being able to celebrate after a win but enjoy more that no matter how many games they win in a row it very well ends a week from tomorrow for them.
  21. Absolutely, my kids were excited for it and dressed up. Didn't have to do much, but ridiculous that they did nothing, not even a welcome to WWE Night. The Saturday prior they were promoting the theme night pretty heavily, just a real poor job by the Brewers.
  22. Definitely the longest lines I have seen all year. It is going to take a while to get everyone in today.
  23. I know wins don't tell the whole story but I figured 41 year old Hill had more than 73 career wins. Thought he was approaching 200 like Lester just did against the Brewers.
  24. Many of the tips at the concessions at AmFam go the a charity. I worked their twice this year and 100% of it went to the two charities I was their for. The Brewers don't give the charity a flat amount, for us it was 25% of concessions plus 100% of tips.
