  1. Yeah, I’m ready for Stearns’ tenure to be over. This season is a waste and I’d be very surprised if they actually supplemented the offense this off-season. The window is closing fast.
  2. Honestly I feel the same way. As good of moves that he has made, he hasn’t done anything to improve the team since 2018, when we had our best window in over 35 years to have a chance at a World Series. He did absolutely nothing to improve the offense to a point where we had a more-balanced team. While he made the team competitive, it will be a failure in my eyes, especially after how this trade deadline was handled.
  3. Should have traded Woodruff and Burnes while we were at it.
  4. Shocking! The only person to not see that coming was Stearns.
  5. This guy doesn’t strike many hitters out. What are the odds he strikes out three Brewers hitters?
  6. Perfect example of why we needed another bat. Pinch-hitting for your 3 and 4 hitters with bases loaded and one out and you get nothing.
  7. I got home from my kid’s soccer game and turned on the game. First things I saw: walk, walk, home run. Awesome. I hate walks worse than not acquiring a bat at the trading deadline when that was a glaring need…
  8. Not sure where else to post this so I’ll do it here. First, I know the Brewers are in a difficult position financially and they can’t go out and sign big-time free agents and take on big contracts, especially with Yelich’s contract. They need to build from within and supplement where needed. After the 2018 and 2019 seasons we were looking at our best opportunity with our stud pitching. But in 2020, 2021, and now halfway through the 2022 season, they have done basically nothing to supplement our offense. Now Hader is gone. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Woodruff traded this off-season. While the team may be “competitive” and be in the hunt for a postseason spot, the likelihood that they will make it deep into the postseason is slim. It’s so frustrating that the window of the best pitching in franchise history is closing fast and they refuse to make moves that can push us to the next level. Yes, we are lucky to have had a good run, but it means nothing without making it to the World Series, or at least having another serious run like in 2018. I had real high hopes that we were going to see a World Series within four years after the 2018 season and I’m just so disappointed that it’s pretty much not going to happen. End rant.
  9. Well, freeing up salary in the Hader trade is technically “doing things at midseason.”
  10. So, we didn’t acquire any immediate offense at the trade deadline. Can’t wait to lose 3-1 and 2-0 in the postseason, if we make it.
  11. He probably will… and then the Nationals will send Soto + $400 million to St. Louis for one AAAA utility player.
  12. I'm going to Scottsdale next week and I was hoping to stop by American Family Fields of Phoenix to see the facilities. I'm not sure if anything is open there outside of spring training. I can't find any information online and when I called them, they still had a spring training voicemail so it's not looking too promising. Does anyone know if anything is open there this time of year, like being able to enter the facilities and see the main field where the Brewers play their spring training games? What about a fan store? Is there enough to see around the outside of the facilities even if nothing else is open? Thanks!
  13. I fully expect this third run to score on some bloop hit.
  14. Nah, the Cardinals have the baseball gods behind them. Somehow things seem to go their way more often then not. I’m sure they’ll trade a bag of used baseballs for Soto and the Nationals will still give them $400m to sign Soto long-term.
  15. This last offseason was the time to do it when we still were going to have all their best pitchers. It’s obvious they aren’t going to take that approach now, instead they will “stay competitive” to keep people in the seats and hope for a playoff push, but really there won’t be much of a chance to really make a deep run in the playoffs.
  16. Ok, we can sell in about a week when they won’t be leading the division any longer.
  17. Not sure if I saw this on here or on Twitter, but this sums up the Brewers nicely.
  18. I turned the game on to pleasantly see the Brewers had the bases loaded with no outs. They then proceeded to have three strike outs. This is why this team will never win the World Series. Purely pathetic. Burnes on the mound too. I’m sure they’ll put up either 0 or 1 runs for him.
  19. Maybe we should merge teams and play half the home games in Milwaukee and half in Minneapolis. At least we’d be able to claim a World Series victory in the combined franchise’s history.
  20. I agree. When the team didn’t improve the offense this off-season you could tell that they are taking the “let’s be competitive and try to make the playoffs, and then hope we are hot at the right time” approach. This team has too many holes, especially with all their injuries, to think that they have a good chance of making it deep into the playoffs. If upper management wouldn’t get the extra offense they needed this off-season, when the window of our stud pitching is closing, they very likely aren’t going to.
  21. We’re going to lose this series too, aren’t we? Disappointing to play so poorly against these teams that we should be taking the series against.
