  1. Of course the way it lined up, we couldn’t put in a pinch runner. Not that it mattered, but still.
  2. So, do you intentionally walk someone to set up the force in this situation?
  3. Extras. I sure hope we somehow drive in this runner on second. Makes extras much more nerve-wrecking.
  4. Would it be Narvaez since he was the last batter, and then you could pinch run for him?
  5. Guy certainly tends to come through with some clutch hits, that’s for sure!
  6. So that wasn’t a strike on the 1-1 pitch to Narvaez? Much closer than those two pitches to Braun were.
  7. At this rate we have to hope the season is cancelled. Kidding for now, but there isn’t a ton of time if we get too far back early.
  8. Where I was trying to go with that post is I’d think if a person on the team tested positive, I’d think there’d still need to be some type of quarantine, unless there is a test that can identify right away.
  9. So, is the 14-day quarantine that people currently do done because there aren’t tests available? Or does it just take that up to that long to become positive after coming in contact with COVID-19? There have been questions about why the need to quarantine if tests are available. Does this mean that if a person is exposed to COVID-19 and immediately take the test, it will know if the person will be positive? It seems like there’d need to be some sort of period of time before it would show up. That’s what I thought the 14 days were for.
  10. I wouldn’t think stats from a shortened season would count towards single-season records, would it? Edit: I guess this wouldn’t necessarily be a record, but I wouldn’t think people would recognize it in the long term. Or is there a minimum plate appearances for that?
  11. I agree that getting some games in early in AZ would be very beneficial for the MLB. Being the only sport after a this break may actually bring in some new fans. I’d rather keep the games as “normal” as possible. Forget the double-headers and this seven-inning business. Just have as many teams play as possible in a day of nine-inning ball. Sure, you can have tweaks to shorten the games, like no mound visits, etc., but at least you are keeping the integrity of the game in place... it’s just that you’d be having a shortened season (which has happened in the past).
  12. Yes. The best solution for the World Series (if the competing teams cannot play in they own stadiums) is to have regional neutral sites. For example, Miller Park could host any Midwest team. Not only would you have climate-controlled games, but many teams are within a reasonable drive to Milwaukee. This would allow teams as far away as St. Louise or Cleveland be able to have their fan base drive to the “home” World Series games. Obviously, this would all be moot when the Brewers are in the World Series this year...
  13. I can’t imagine them trying to move around matchups to ensure missed divisional games are played. Seems like a logistical nightmare, if it’s even possible. Instead my bet is that they play a shortened season. Sure, some teams may benefit from missing tougher matchups, but thats life I guess. Depending on how many games they miss, potentially some of these series could be added at the end of the season, but it’s unlikely they’d be able to add more than a few series.
  14. I don't see why this wouldn't happen. Everyone that had a ticket will probably still have one and probably will be given a chance to swap it out for another or have it refunded. Yes, but depending on what game is the “new” Opening Day, it could have had substantial ticket sales already. I think that most games probably don’t have a lot of sales though.
  15. If there ends up being a MLB season, I hope the Brewers do their best to guarantee all the individuals that got Opening Day as part of their ticket package tickets for the “new” Opening Day.
  16. Imagine the prospects you could get for Yelich now that he’s signed to this favorable contract for nine seasons... Ok, we can lock this now.
  17. If this comes to fruition, then I take back any complaints about the roster decisions last season and this offseason. The window is much larger now. Freaking awesome!
  18. He's not the only one. The idea of having Billy Hamilton anywhere near this roster sounds pretty terrible to me, too. Especially when Keon Broxton is already here. I know. I was more surprised that he needed to stay away from Brewerfan.net for a while because of this. Because Twitter is such a wealth of quality takes... lol.
  19. Apparently this guy really hates this idea...
  20. Yes, hard not to root for the guy after seeing that video.

  22. I wonder if this could be insurance in case Urias's hand injury doesn't recover very quickly.
  23. More Brewers fans live in Wisconsin than outside of it. More Cubs fans live outside of Wisconsin than in it. This allows more Brewers fans to get tickets than if it was opened up for everyone at once. It doesn’t prevent Cubs fans from getting tickets. It’s a good idea, but they market it as keeping the Cubs fans out when they should market it as allowing Brewers fans the first opportunity to get tickets.
