  1. Why can’t anyone bunt properly? I mean, it worked, but that was due to the misplay by the pitcher.
  2. Yep Nah, let’s put an 8-spot up in the bottom of the eighth and let Burnes pitch.
  3. Well that means the nats will lose, and the brewers odds at snaring a playoff berth climb regardless Just keep winning baby I'd be OK with an all NL Central Wild Card. Me too, as long as it’s the Cardinals and Cubs. I can’t imagine the stress of playing the Cubs in a one-game playoff (or any postseason series foe that matter).
  4. I know. That's crazy. I was ages 7-10 during those seasons. Now I'm 40. What a life of mediocrity with some good seasons in there and a few great seasons. We have to take it to the next level within the next few years!!!
  5. Hahaha... I have to believe this violates something on this site... but it's hilarious!
  6. Wow, you won the car from Moose’s HR? Congrats! Did you get to meet him afterwards?
  7. I had to read this a few times to understand were you were going with this one...
  8. Wow, the Pirates gave up 47 runs to the Cubs in that 3-game series. Hopefully they don’t show up for us as well.
  9. If the Brewers were to get swept by the Cardinals this weekend, I’m thinking at that point I’ll be rooting for the Cardinals to whoop up on the Cubs and run away with the division. I think that will be our best chance at the wild card in that scenario. That being said, hopefully the Brewers can pull off a series win and we try to make a push for the division.
  10. I think there was a stretch where he blew like 3 out of 4 or something like that. The others were spread throughout the year.
  11. Should the Brewers play these next two games as must-win, and pitch whoever is necessary, which could put them in a worse position against the Cardinals? The odd are that the Brewers will lose 1 or 2 of the next 4 games, so if these are considered easier is it worth potentially having guys unavailable this weekend?
  12. Does anyone know what that really bizarre hat the guy in the stands has on? That sounds funny, but there’s probably like 20 people that are on camera at a given time.
  13. Don’t the Cubs and Cardinals have to play seven times yet this year? Just hope that STL runs away with the division and wins like five of those games. Brewers need to keep winning though!
  14. Walks... why do we always walk ourselves into trouble? (Besides our pitchers not being that great.)
  15. Correct, 430ft. I'm not sure I buy that distance. Maybe that’s how long the tape measure is...
  16. No one is going back and forth. I said before the series that if they win 3 out of 4 against the Cubs they have a shot. If they win tomorrow they will have done that. If not, oh well. Tomorrow is their season as far as I'm concerned, but 2 GB with 20 to play would not be insurmountable. Yeah, Mtrebs or whatever was looking for an argument when I said they were in playoff contention when they were 4 back a week or so ago. I don't believe this is a particularly good team or one that's capable of going on a run like last year....but who saw that D-backs run coming? I'm in about the best place I think a Brewers fan can be at this point. If they don't make it, oh well. Everything went wrong. If you'd have said before the year, Knebel, Jeffress, Burnes, Wahl, Shaw, Aguilar, Peralta, Chacin.. among others would contribute nothing to this team and the one guy who was having a really good year, Woodruff, would miss the last 2 months and then said, "but we'll be within 2 games of a playoff spot on Sept 8th," it'd be hard to be upset about that. Who said I was looking for an argument? I said I was surprised that people still thought they had a chance. I didn’t mean technically. I meant realistically. I’m glad they’ve been playing better and they’ve gotten themselves close again. I still don’t believe they’ll sustain this and break through to get one of the wild card spots. I hope I’m wrong, but that’s just how I feel. If they do end up making it, I don’t feel they’ll make it as far as last year. Again, I hope they prove me wrong. I’m just not expecting it.
  17. Need to get Houser out. Hitting someone in the head typically ends up bad for the pitcher mentally.
  18. If they win tomorrow they are 2 back with 17 of 20 vs teams under 500. The season isn't over by any stretch. Maybe not likely but still a shot 17 out of 20 against teams under .500? It’s definitely over then. The Brewers would have a better chance with 17 out of 20 against the Dodgers.
