The emotional attachment some have to these decisions is disturbing. Plenty of time left for moves this offseason. This deal is way to risky for a team like the Brewers. Has Stearns not earned a level of trust with the fanbase? He's not perfect but if you told me when he was picked up as GM that they would have had the early success that they had I would be thrilled. Let it play out.

Just watched 'The Expanse'. That was the best show I've seen in a long time. Every season builds on the next. Characters and narrative are great. Highly recommend.

Operating income is income before non operating expenses (marketing, depreciation, interest, etc.) and taxes. It's not Net Income. Typically Net Income includes those additional expenses. Profit can mean mean many things. Need more information to determine what profit is in this case. They may mean net income but I doubt that would be made public.

I know age isn't a great excuse, but I think we forget that he's only 24. Some immaturity is probably expected. I wonder if the Brewers have a behavioral therapist that works with the team. Baseball is such a mental game. Season is long. Seems like a no brainer.

If they trade for him and he walks in the off-season do they get the comp pick? I forget the rules on that. Has to be on the roster the entire season?

I don't think it's that they hate it so much as that is where the advertising dollars that keep them employed live. GO CREW!

Bring back Weeks at second please.

We need more guys like you around here. Still think so?
  10. I Heart Brewers
Oh thank god. I don't want him at all.

Still early but this is exciting. Keep mining those outlets for serviceable position players Mr. Stearns. I mean if Thames, Peralta, and Feliz keep this up they could net some decent prospects, correct?

    These guys suck. DFA Jhan.

Sorry if this has been covered but is anyone else noticing Schroeder's lisp?

Smith, Jeffress, Thornburg. Sterns got lucky these guys were traded before injury/substance issues. I hope there are a few more that can be flipped before the end of the season. Although, I don't think any currently on the roster have the kind of appeal the former three had.

I care about the man vs. machine part but even more; Crawford. That guy is just a vile human being. He sounds like the most unhappy person on the planet. How does someone like him ascend to the post of MLB umpire? I truly think his kind are going to be extinct soon. Anyway, traditions change. Who knows what the game will look like in 20 years but I do think there will be more algorithms in scouting, replays, and machines calling balls and strikes. Inefficiencies work their way out of most systems eventually. It's inevitable. Finally, nobody goes to a game because ''X' is umping today'!

Sometimes it's best to keep these things to yourself.

Comparing Tivo to netflix is apples and oranges. Tivo is a hardware/software company. Netflix, Hulu, etc provide and create exclusive content. Tivo was great 10 years ago before streaming. Superior software. Problem is cable companies caught up. AT&T put Microsoft media software on their set top boxes. Eventually needing a large HD for storage will be less important as everything move to on demand streaming. There are more options now but they are all starting to merge as far as cost. Platforms are going to start to merge with pricing.

DWI and Marijuana in the glove compartment. I hope he gets the help he needs first and foremost. Number two I hope this doesn't affect the PTBNL. Might have just started up again or this could be something that he had been doing in MKE. Either way it can't be easy to be thrust into a much higher pressure situation and be separated from your best friend. Situations that are high pressure and traumatic for a guy that has dependency issues. Makes sense from that perspective.

What kind of return for Scooter? Bag of peanuts? I'm prepping myself to be underwhelmed. He just seems like a guy to me. Streaky too.

Is Braun having an MVP season? If healthy and on a contender it wouldn't be a question.

If he goes to the Cards he better keep hitting around the mendoza line.

Anyone see the mic drop he did at the end of the conference? Nice. I hope Ice Cube plays old Prince him in his upcoming biopic. http://i.imgur.com/ZlbMoC3l.jpg

Can the Brewers not move an OF to 1st base? Or is that a difficult transition? It's probably easier the other way around, 1B to OF.

Tell them you can't stand how people from Illinois drive. Then ask them what a F.I.B. is. Enjoy your free food and beer.
  25. I Heart Brewers
    Nah, he's clearly G.O.A.T.
