  1. The Brewers have been 31 games over .500 3 times in franchise history - at end of game 9/24/1982, 9/29/1982 and 9/8/2021 Have never been 32 games over .500
  2. Since May 20th they've played just 4 games under. They started the season really bad and never recovered. They're not great by any stretch, but they're gonna beat some teams. 6th in the AL in runs. 2nd in homeruns. (of course minus Nelson Cruz now) Butt pitching has been their big problem. This is a problem for a lot of folks. Speak for yourself.
  3. Since there's 34 games left... The worst 34 game stretch all year was 15-19 from 4/13-5/21 The best was a 26-8 stretch from 5/29 - 7/3. Last <.500 stretch over 34 games was 16-18 from 4/25 - 6/1 They have not been worse than 20-14 over 34 games since a 19-15 stretch from 5/13 - 6/19 A 19-15 stretch gets you to... 97-65.
  4. Yes. Going first to third, expected to have to slide the entire time. Got the signal to stand up. Stopped a bit suddenly and felt like I was shot in the back of the leg. I have never once mocked or thought poorly of pulled hammys since that day.
  5. Highest ever in franchise history. Previous high was +20 in 2011 (71-51), 1982 (68-48) and 1979 (70-50).
  6. You see, he's been on the site posting regularly for 8 years specifically waiting for this moment. Waiting for the exact right season. Waiting in the shadows for just the right time to highlight the super controversial position that a lead in August doesn't guarantee a playoff appearance. Then he'll spend the rest of the season secretly hoping the Brewers lose and miss the playoffs so he can point and yell "SEE I WAS RIGHT". Galaxy brain stuff man.
  7. I thought we were playing really good up until about early to mid-August. We took 3 of 4 in LA against the Dodgers and then the collapse happened shortly afterward. But yeah, not a fun year to re-live. The 1-11 stretch right before the all star break (6/29 - 7/12) was the start of the collapse. The 3-16 stretch late august (8/20-9/9) ended it. If you ever want to stump a Brewer fan, ask them what season they were in 1st place the most days. 159 days in first including the entire stretch from April 5th to August 31st, and still managed to finish 8GB out in 3rd. Just an unreal season.
  8. I get what you mean, and I want them to do what they need to, in order to get no worse than the 2 seed. That being said, as I lifelong Brewer fan and only 7 playoff appearances all time, I'm fine with clinching whenever it happens!
  9. I'm maintaining a sheet tracking the records each team would need to hit to tie Milwaukee (GB is games back in winning column just to ease automating the updates)
  10. Robbing a game tying HR with 2 outs, top of the 9th, on Opening Day, against the Cardinals... Pretty dang good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MwKQioQxA4
  11. Please let me take my dad to the World bleeping Series. Redeye arriving Saturday 8AM, get some sleep, take my dad to Game 4, fly home (after a sweep?) Sunday AM. I've never wanted to spend money more in my life.
  12. Sheesh. I've gone from not wanting to see JJ to now thinking you gotta send him out for the 8th with 2 RHP to lead off. Get him thru 8 and use Soria or Burnes in 9th. Hader in pocket if needed, and if not, save Hader for tomorrow
  13. Nah, JJ’s inning. Ride or die. What? If JJ walks the bases loaded and Hader is available they better go to Hader If he allows more than one baserunner he should be yanked immediately.
