  1. Every hard hit has been on a low, middle fastball, missing an outside target. These days, with focus on launch angle, nobody can pitch there, regardless of their stuff.
  2. Is it possible that in addition to Jeffress joining the staff tomorrow, Peralta could be optioned out for Taylor Williams? They need arms.
  3. Bullpen situation looks similar to Sunday’s, when Albers, Williams, and Barnes threw. Chase is available if Freddy struggles early.
  4. Well, he certainly left his mark, especially for being a 38-year old, mid season pickup.
  5. Chase can be very helpful as a multi-inning reliever that the Brewers will definitely need.
  6. FWIW re: the Derek Johnson effect (or lack thereof), the Brewers have the 13th lowest ERA in spring training. The Reds have the 22nd lowest ERA.
  7. Tyrone Taylor is OPS’ing .851, including a home run off Mad Bum last night, in 29 at bats. Any word on “how he looks” at the plate and in the field?
  8. I’m hoping we don’t need a starter at this years deadline. Price gonna be half the farm for some of these guys. Too many buyers in NL this year in all likely hood. Good point.
  9. Kimbrel concerns me for the same reason Jeffress does. They each threw massive amounts of high-leverage innings on short rest deep into October. I expect to see lingering effects.
  10. I vote everybody sprints in ala Todd Coffey. A clock could start when the manager leaves the dugout, initiating the pitching change. If a guy needed 8 pitches, the manager could either jog or motion right away for the change. The relief pitcher could either jog or take the bullpen car.
  11. 2018 OPS away from Coors: Arenado: .772 Moose: .774 Shaw: .825
  12. Overall improvement from Arcia should help the bottom of the lineup vs. LHP.
  13. Infield is 7-for-8 with 8 RBIs in the fourth inning.
  14. Hernan Perez sporting the 5.000 OPS.
  15. Bucks are 31 games over .500. Last season the Brewers were 31 games over .500, including the postseason. Times are good.
  16. Corey Ray sporting the 5.000 OPS.
  17. This is a pretty remarkable highlight summary, especially considering there are many incredible moments not captured (Yelich / Braun back-to-back against St. Louis, Aguilar's 13-pitch at bat walkoff, Thames walkoff against Wade Davis, and Yelich's moments from the last week of the regular season).
  18. Also interesting is former Twin Eduardo Escobar got 3 years / $21 million from the D-backs. They are similar players. It will be interesting to compare their next 2-3 years.
  19. He’s 26 and a 5-7 WAR player every year at a prime position. There’s little reason to think his value will go down the next few years.
  20. The Moose signing means the Brewers will likely have vastly improved offensive production from the 7 and 8 spots in the order. I hope it's safe to assume Arcia will hit better than he did in the 2018 regular seaon.
