  1. Don't go Chase-ing waterfalls. Please stick to the rivers and the lakes that you're used to.
  2. Not enough attention is being paid to the fact that the allegation came from a player whose most effective years were his age 36 and 37 seasons (a similar pattern as Roger Clemens'). He's accusing a 30 year old of having a good first half of April?
  3. http://m.mlb.com/video/topic/6479266/v7282679/clecws-buehrles-backhand-flick-gets-the-runner
  4. When you literally trade away your entire bullpen, this is what happens.
  5. Playing from behind may prevent Counsell from blowing out the arms of the top 3 bullpen guys.
  6. Park is older than Carter. It's not like he's a young prospect.
  7. Starting off with a versatile roster, when the franchise gets into a position where it's one bat away from contending, that bat acquistion (at whatever the position that the player of maximum value plays) can be inserted into the roster, and the current players can just shift around.
  8. Call me crazy, but it seems like most of the Brewer pitchers who've had a stint in Colorado Springs have done great when they reach the Brewers. Perhaps pitching in altitude teaches how to deal with MLB-like adversity, the importance of location, or the importance of getting good snap on breaking balls.
  9. The Brewers carried Wei-Chung Wang on a team that was in first place for 150 days two years ago. I don't think the roster spot would be a reason not to do this if there was evidence this plan would increase the performance of the starters.
  10. I'd be worried about the dynamic where the Brewers need to cut Oswaldo, and it hurts the Brewers' relations with their #1 prospect.
  11. In 2007, Prince started the season as a 22-year old ... and hit 50 home runs!
  12. The top 4 in the Rattlers' lineup could be a nice top 4 in a MLB lineup in about 2021.
  13. The Brewers' farm system was ranked dead last just 5 years ago (when the team was peaking). Was it around 2006 when the system was previously top-ranked? This appears to be a 10-year cycle, but with Stearns' approach (with prospects spread amongst all levels), once the MLB team starts succeeding, there shouldn't be as much subsequent crash and burn as was suffered last season.
  14. 2008 CC trade, 2016 Lucroy trade; hopefully it won't be until 2024 for the Brewers to be in a position to make a "go for it" trade with Cleveland.
  15. 11 total bases and 6 RBI in tonight's game for Diaz.
  16. With a trade seemingly imminent, let's appreciate the final games for the greatest catcher in Brewer history.
  17. Peralta and Jungmann pitch well and Arcia hits a double off of Felix Hernandez.
  18. Any word on why Brett Phillips was pulled in the middle of the game?
  19. I was in favor of the rebuild, but it's tough watching guys dressed like Eskimos not even be able to execute little league-level plays.
  20. As soon as I saw Freeman warm up, I knew this would happen.
  21. Russell Wilson started two Super Bowls and won one with a similar salary. Now he's filthy rich.
  22. I'd flip-flop Carter and Scooter. If the CF struggles, I would move CF to 9th, as long as Lucroy is on the team, to keep Luc's numbers up.
