  1. Robert is currently doing an outstanding job working his way through Kurosawa's filmography and reviewing them over at my website. I do believe he also does some reviews at Al's site as well.
  2. Granted it's been a year so my math might be a little off but wasn't it only 4 SWAT guys who went into the building and two were knocked out right away? It seemed pretty genuine that it would knock them off their guard enough that they might lose control. One thing I did regret is they didn't do more with the multiple cameras at one time. That I thought could have been really fun and had some solid rewatchability. As for only finding the room in the dark, yeah its a tenuous link to the supernatural elements of the movie but it makes for a great WTH? moment and really put me in a position to know that I had absolutely no idea what the heck was going to be thrown at me next, which is too rare a thing for horror films nowadays. I would agree that their seems to be a lot of just throwing concepts at the wall and seeing what sticks, but for me so far almost everything seems to be sticking through both films.
  3. I think they've set up some very interesting rules, including one of the better takes on zombies I might have ever seen. That they are setting themselves up to potentially take off the reigns of POV and let loose isn't what I would call turning off rules. Also, I like the fact that [Rec] 2 focuses most of the film on toying with the viewer, setting up expectations from the first and then consistently riffing off those expectations. BTW, [Rec] 3 is supposed to be a prequel, with [Rec] 4 being the film that ties up the entire series, for those that might be interested.
  4. [Rec] 3 is one of my most anticipated movies of next year.
  5. I use Hulu+ for Criterion and that's about it. I probably watch something on Netflix streaming everyday though.
  6. Also not true. Apple has as many failures as any other company, they just have a ridiculously good PR department.
  7. I've rarely, maybe never, had a problem making a call from either my current iPhone or the previous one.Can you give yours to my girlfriend then? Her phone drops calls roughly every other conversation, I can never hear what the hell she is saying on it and she has to use hands free because the touch panel stays active and it keeps disconnecting her when she puts it tup against her face. All the other bells and whistles are great, but when the primary function of your device is a failure than your device is as well.
  8. iPhone's would be great if they actually could make calls.
  9. Delmon doesn't have anger issues.
  10. I'll be sad to see him leave town. One of the nicest professional athletes I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.
  11. How's his elbow?
  12. I'm not sure the laptop would say the same for you. Huzzah! He's right that Sony's are notorious for not playing well with others. Quite frankly their isn't much besides a Playstation that I would get from Sony. Their tech is just too hit and miss, and when it misses it is brutally bad. I will admit the Vaios sure do look nice. HP's are solid if unspectacular if your primary driver is getting something cheap.
  13. I will second Victor's. Its amazing.
  14. The Up Series just got added to streaming.
  15. The Wolves aren't trading Beasley and their pick, as the Williams is essentially the exact same player as Beasley, which is why the pick is available in the first place.
  16. It (Rubber) should be on VOD through Amazon. It's worth the $5.
  17. You seem to be telling me that as if I haven't seen Hausu yet. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif The other good one that people should check out is Rubber. That thing is freaking brilliant.
  18. Would it help if the bed was possessed by a demon and their was a painting on the wall that narrated all the events of the film?
  19. I have. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Try out Deathbed: The Bed that Eats next. You can thank me later. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  20. Roughly the same from Comcast. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1112304762.png
  21. The Saragossa Manuscript hates all of you. To be fair I'm not sure it falls into any category, but considering how many people have it as their favorite film of al time that alone should cause people to put forth the effort to track it down and watch it. And since Robert missed perhaps my favorite "genre" of filmmaking.... 22. Watch everything in the bold. The rest are pretty forgettable at best.
  23. The CDC is not in the original comic.
  24. Yeah, Koskie had had multiple concussions throughout his life. I believe it was estimated at something around 8 or so. Morneau is in a similar position as he's admitted to having multiple concussions from when he used to play hockey.
