  1. I think I read that Chicagoans pay about a dollar in taxes and fees per gallon of gas. I would wager that is most of the difference. You go out to Brookfield, IL and gas is like $3.30
  2. Everything I've read says the draw down had a pretty small impact on gas prices. On the order of 20 - 30 cents. I think most people knew once a few refineries came back online and demand wavered a bit as summer ended it was going to drop so they did a thing that made it seem like "hey we're doing something".
  3. wow, gas prices really tumbled the last few weeks. I've seen $2.59 here in Milwaukee.
  4. Great thanks. Too bad they don't track it at the minor league level but I guess that would be asking a lot. According to that data, Ruiz had one bunt for a hit and one attempt last year in the bigs. https://www.fangraphs.com/players/esteury-ruiz/21780/stats#batted-ball
  5. Right and I can find sacrifice hits (bunts) on baseball reference. What I can't seem to find are just "bunts" whether they are sacrifice or not. If I can find that I can subtract sacrifice bunts and get the number that were bunts for hits (or attempted bunts for hits). Does that make sense?
  6. Agreed. I was just trying to see exactly how often he did bunt.
  7. This sent me down a shallow rabbit hole. Anyone know if they track bunt attempts for a hit as opposed to sacrifice? I only spent a few min on it but thought it'd be pretty easy to find.
  8. it's not just Brewer fans. No one can believe this is all the Brewers gave up.
  9. I keep reading these looking for additional names
  10. then there has to be more than Ruiz. Adames?
  11. If it's Ruiz for Contreras straight up.... that would make me kind of happy
  12. You get a catcher! and you get a catcher! and you get a catcher!
  13. And that was after they didn't take a TO following Lopez's make.
  14. I think the Brewers are doing the Bonilla thing with Braun until something like 2031. (and Cain too I believe)
  15. that is not true. can we stop worrying so much about other posters and just provide our own opinions? if you don't think Frelick is that great just say so and state your reasons why.
  16. Toro can play all over the place, He will most likely be a super utility guy, IMO
  17. Toro is Canadian. Doug Melvin approves.
  18. I liked Toro at one point. He had some really good years in the minors but it just hasn't translated to the bigs yet. He has that positional flexibility the Brewers like.
  19. Did you end up pulling the trigger on this?
  20. That's awesome! You've been talking about this for such a long time I'm glad it finally became a reality for you.
  21. I love how straight faced he is. ?
