  1. And a secondary bypass outside of 894 that would have gone through the Brookfield business district, most likely used only by Illinoisans getting around Milwaukee. In case anyone would like to read more: http://wisconsinhighways.org/milwaukee/system_map.html Yeah I am totally fine they didn't do all that extra highway building.
  2. Tim Tebow was cut today. Our long national nightmare has ended.
  3. Sounds like it's Cubs vs Reds next year at the Field of Dreams
  4. there is no way he's serious

  6. I mentioned this on the last page but it'd be cool if they did this in more than one place. I get that the tie in with the movie and everything but a place like Rickwood Field in Alabama would be great. It's the oldest ballpark in the US and has a ton of history. https://rickwood.com/history-of-rickwood-field/
  7. Total Viewers: Fox: 5.07 million, CBS: 3.16, ABC: 2.02, NBC: 1.99, CW: 900,000 Adults 18-49: Fox: 1.2 rating/10 share, CBS: 0.7/ 5, NBC: 0.4/ 3, ABC: 0.3/ 3, CW: 0.1/ 1 Fox moved into the fast affiliate winner’s circle care of the New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville, Iowa (the setting for the beloved 1989 sports -themed film with Kevin Costner). The match-up averaged an estimated 5.07 million viewers and a 1.2 rating/10 share in the Thursday 8-11 p.m. ET block. As always, results for any live sporting event are approximate. “MLB at Field of Dreams” is projected to be the largest MLB audience for a regular season matchup in over a decade. 8. I think they've been lucky with a lack of injuries...that sort of caught up to them with Bahktiari at the end of last season.
  9. Nice find! That's been bothering me since the first ACL game.
  10. they should do this every year but rotate it to different small town ballparks. edit: wow, what an ending!
  11. Wiemer looks like Derek Trucks
  12. I'll second Summer of Soul. Shocking how good the acts were at that festival.
  13. And..... I'm ok with that. I just don't think it's fair to get super down on Urias either. If we had an average 1B over there, some (not all) of these throwing errors would likely just be "tough throws dug out of the dirt" and turned into outs. A good or average 1B doesn't get noticed a lot. A bad one or below average one makes the rest of your infielders look worse, becuase he's not snagging a lot of those borderline catchable throws that turn into errors on those other guys. 1B defense is still pretty dang important. Guy is involved in 8 - 9 -10 plays a game. Urias had 7 errors at 3rd before today. I wonder how many were with Hiura at 1st?
  14. https://www.bleachernation.com/cubs/2021/08/11/christian-yelichs-huge-extension-hasnt-even-kicked-in-yet-and-he-is-struggling/ I get Yelich is struggling but do we really need so many posts about it in an igt when the team is up 10? There is already a thread for it on the main page. Maybe I am in the minority but the Yelich stinks posts are feeling redundant at this point welcome to in game threads
  15. They sell beer until the 7th. and half the people that go to Cubs games have no idea what the score is
  16. There are going to be some tough cuts this year. A lot of guys they cut loose will end up getting on the field for other teams this season.
  17. Branding is a bonus. They didn't look at Yelich and say "Hey this guy would be great for branding and he's good, let's sign him to a huge extension". They said "Hey this guy had two MVP years, let's sign him to an extension. As a bonus, he'll be great for the brand" You'd have to be a total degenerate for a team to not offer you an extension because of branding.
  18. 6-3 while their All-World closer was on the IL. I'll take it. Dropped fly ball from 7 - 2 grrrrrrr
  19. Am I the only one seeing that bobblehead? That is amazing.
  20. there were a few projection systems for fantasy that really liked Votto going into the season and I thought they were nuts.
