    It was Herb Kohl's eternal quest for the 8th seed. I believe this was under the new ownership group, as I recall reading Kidd wanted an experienced point guard. You are correct. I was off by a year. Kohl sold in 2014, Grievous (spelling intentional) was traded for in 2015.

    I'm in the title game. I have to choose two of the following four: DK Metcalf DJ Moore Dionte Johnson Le'Veon Bell Normally Metcalf would be a no-brainer lock but he's playing the Rams and Jalen Ramsey. Last time he played the Rams, DK had 2 catches for 28 yards and I think the Rams will be playing angry after that loss to the Jets. I almost always just go with the best player regardless of the opponent which is easily Metcalf but I'm seriously considering benching him. Thoughts?

    I was tempted to label this Derrick Henry @ Packers but the Titans passing offense is really good too. They are a handful on that side of the ball.

    I agree it is stale but these are the best teams. Ohio State is easily the class of the B1G every year and they haven't made it out of the semis since 2015. MSU lost in the semis in 2016 (OSU and MSU lost by a combined score of 69 - 0 between the two games played in 16, 17). Other than OSU's win in 2015 the non-SEC/non Clemson schools get routinely trounced for the most part. Semi-final victory margins when SEC/Clemson plays non-SEC/non-Clemson since 2016 (there was one Alabama Clemson semi game): Clemson over Oklahoma +20 Alabama over MSU +38 Alabama over Washington +17 Clemson over OSU +31 Georgia over Oklahoma +6 (OT) Alabama over Oklahoma +11 Clemson over Notre Dame +27 LSU over Oklahoma +35 Clemson over OSU +6 The average margin of victory is over 21 points and only 2 games out of 9 were within a TD. It's gotten to the point where there should probably be an NIT for every team that isn't in the SEC or Clemson. Let them duke it out for supremacy and everyone play for a very well earned consolation prize.

    Jonathan Taylor is quietly putting together a very good rookie season. 842 yards rushing 7 TDs. His average the last four games: 103.5 yards per game 5.83 yards per carry 3.25 rec per game 7.3 yards per rec

    I feel like every week there is some team that the Packers need to be afraid of that then goes on to lose or play like junk against a bad team the following week.

    I am not gonna judge Mertz or the coaching staff at all this year. The short camp, the over two week break after the Michigan game, all the injuries and guys that missed due to Covid, it was just a total mustard truck. I mean when Garrett Groshek is your bell cow at running back and your most athletic receiver is a true freshman I'm not sure what he is supposed to do. Yeah I wished the play calling could have been more creative but when you're trotting Jack Dunn out there for 40% of the snaps there is only so much you can do. I'm glad they're going to a bowl game for no other reason than the extra reps the young guys get.

    They stopped running jet sweep action and motion for some reason. I love the jet sweep action + guard pull run plays. Seems to always give a good hole to Jones.
