  1. Looks like 6-8 weeks on the shelf. Hamate bone though so might linger.
  2. You are 100% right but here's my question. Is the trash heap big enough in the pitching department? I don't think they collected enough "trash" to sort through until they find something of worth. Depends. Wahl and Knebel will both be back. If Ray Black takes a jump...then you have several pickups several of whom had big K/IP numbers in the high minors. But yeah that's a lot of "well if all these guys pitch to their ceiling" type of arguments. I still think they have a few more moves up their sleeve before the season starts.
  3. Doesn't feel like enough at this point but then again the brain trust has been able to turn trash into treasure several times over so I will let things play out and see what happens.
  4. Kobe King not traveling with the team to attend to a "personal matter". Rumors floating around that he's not happy. Ugh.
  5. I think this move would have made sense for the Brewers if the NL already had the DH (would have been a great move actually). But as others have said, once Garcia signed there wasn't really a place for Castellanos. He hasn't played 3rd since 2017 and wasn't good when he did play there.
  6. I'd rather they hang onto that 1st round pick. They'll need some rookie deals if they want to sign Giannis to the max. I think Brown and Wilson will be gone sooner than later.
  7. Would you mind using the "quote" feature when you are responding directly to another poster? As it stands, we aren't sure who you are responding to. It's in the bottom right hand corner of a post. Thanks.
  8. Joe Namath's stats are pretty pedestrian. I realize most QB's of that era are as well but...dude only had 2 seasons where he threw more TD than INTs.
  9. left wrist, bats right....for what it's worth.
  10. Malik Monk finally had a big boy game otherwise that one's not even close from the get go.
  11. I assume you have seen "Hamburger: The Motion Picture"... Dick Butkus' finest hour.
  12. I think what he's saying is that many in that draft didn't meet expectations despite starting out great.
  13. Keep plugging away man... I unplugged this sink and now Im going to unclog this gut! Day two is almost successfully over! I do not recommend Drano gel max for your clogged gut.
  14. Even though I am not a country music fan whatsoever, the song Cheater Cheater by Joey and Rory seems like appropriate walk-up music for some of these guys.
  15. From his wikipedia page: In September 2017, Mike Lombardi made headlines by criticizing Philadelphia Eagles coach Doug Pederson: "He might be less qualified to coach a team than anyone I’ve ever seen in my 30-plus years in the NFL.".[26]. Pederson would lead the Eagles to their first Super Bowl championship later that season.
  16. Crosby was very good this year. He was much better than average. For all the hype Robbie Gould gets, Crosby outkicked him on FGs from 30 - 49 yards.
  17. Tough kicking crowd.
  18. Giannis is about as likeable a person as you are going to find in pro sports.
  19. I think I'd wonder about this more if Packers were heavy favorites in those NFC championship games. Packers have been heavy dogs in each NFC Champ game since they won the Super Bowl. Seahawks were -7.5 in 2015, Atlanta was -5 in 2017, San Francisco this year was -7. Be nice to get a home game one of these years.
  20. The loss to Duke was crushing for the simple fact that I doubt they will ever been in that position again in my lifetime.
  21. I think another season of experience in the offense will help matters. Matt Ryan went from QB rating of 89 to a QB rating of 117 in the second year in the same system.
  22. I think this is a good point, and likely the result of the investment in safeties in the offseason. Over the top-type safety play/coverage was much, much improved, but there is still a deficiency in the underneath coverage that partially/mostly involves the LB's and slot cover guys. I think having Campbell and Greene will help. Particularly as it pertains to covering TEs
