  1. The players picked Harden.
  2. Congrats to Virginia! Congrats to me for winning my office pool!
  3. Kinda sad that UW doesn't have a better women's program. It seems like the state turns out a lot of really good girl's high school players every year.
  4. is that good? Infinite sounds good.
  5. Burnes spin rate is at elite levels. He's got an odd mix of awesome and horrible so far. It will be interesting to see how it levels out.
  6. LOL are you serious? They had one bad year this past year, most teams were rebuilding, Nova had previously won 2 of the past 3 national championships. When is the last time a BigTentwelvefourtheen? team won the national championship? Michigan State in 2000, they must be a low major conference because they cannot win. I agree with that. Big EastMidwestPlainsStates had a down year. They are typically top three or four in the country.
  7. I had a buddy whose dog was named Molly. His wife thought it was a cute name for a girl dog. He never told her it was named after Paul Molitor.
  8. Zack Greinke has thrown six eephus pitches so far this year.
  9. I think there was more meat in the story than just that (although that stood out). I think the snippets about Valdez Scantling thinking Rodgers didn't like him, and the portion detailing Rodgers telling St. Brown to run a post when the play called for a flag (then being too afraid of being frozen out by Rodgers to tell the coaches it was him to told him to run it) was pretty interesting. It really paints a picture of the inmates running the asylum. It's going to be up to LaFleur to get that kind of crap in line. Yeah I agree that maybe some of the specifics were new but those weren't really surprises. I probably could have guessed all of that re: the rookie receivers.
  10. Journal did a whole thing on the Packers trying to intimidate Michael Cohen after he wrote a not so flattering Letroy Guion piece. And a lot of this stuff has come out over the years in one form or another. Honestly, the only new info was the massage thing.
  11. And as was shown after he left, Jennings owes most of his success to Rodgers.
  12. I like your creative avoidance of the cuss filter
  13. A buy-out is not the same thing as getting canned. If that's what happened...
  14. Love him or hate him, McGinn has touched on a lot of these issues in the past. And he got canned at the Journal Sentinel, and can't even get a press pass to cover the team via his website now. The Packers are not a media-friendly organization, and haven't been since the days of Ron Wolf. I don't think he was canned. He was going to retire and move to Michigan but his son convinced him to start the website as a business venture.
  15. Is this supposed to be in blue? . yes
  16. I don't consider Jennings or Finley "reliable narrators". They are both divas themselves. But the rest of it I totally think is plausible.
  17. As everyone probably knows Tyler Dunne was a former Packer beat reporter. I guarantee the "personnel man" in that story is Elliot Wolf.
  18. I think right after the game is a little harsh. Do it the next morning. But otherwise unless Murphy made fun of McCarthy's body weight or something then I don't see how he could have been unprofessional about it.
  19. In the Cubs defense, they did just sign David Bote to a five-year extension.
  20. That last out was on a curve ball. Curious to see how much he throws non-fast balls this year.
  21. Nice job, Freddy. Feels like 1st inning has been tough for him. Nice to get out of it with a low pitch count. Edit: Yup, 9.19 ERA .886 OPS in the 1st. Now if he could just skip the 4th inning...
