There won't be as much elite talent if they all go pro out of high school. You'll have a ton of four star recruits of roughly the same ability. UK can only take three or four of those guys in a given year. The overall level of play will drop a bit but I think it will create more parity.
For those of you that find this offensive, I recommend just not posting on the one day a year that the one or two of these that show up are acceptable. Maybe go do a sudoku or something.
If you agree with someone, simply quoting their post without adding to it is not what we are looking for. Same with "+1" or "agreed", etc. One word or no word posts clutter things up. Feel free to agree but expand on their point.
Collude isn't really a proper term. Teams have changed how they value players because data has suggested they should. Just because they all use the same data does not mean they colluded. Players have to change expectations at this point in certain situations. If they fail to it is completely on the players, not the owners. I agree but that also means the owners are keeping a larger share of the revenue pie. Players will probably ask for less service time to free agency or service time starts after you reach the majors or three years in the minors to keep MLB teams from starting guys like Vlad in the minors.
