  1. Not sure where you're seeing that, but he's behind all 5 starters and Mirotic. https://stats.nba.com/team/1610612749/players-advanced/?sort=OFF_RATING&dir=1 His Net rating is 4.4 on the season, which puts him at 13th of the guys who played 10+ games this season. If he can start making open 3's, he will have value, but he's still the 5th or 6th wing on the team, who wouldn't see the floor except in blowouts in the playoffs. https://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/MIL/2019.html Scroll to Per 100 poss
  2. Having said what I said, I wish the NBA wasn't so physical. I like the game a lot more when guys are free to run and drive and really show off their skills. Brute force isn't as much fun to watch, IMO.
  3. Pat's got the best offensive rating on the team...better than Giannis. And he is 31 for his last 77 three-point attempts (40%).
  4. IMO, the physicality of the NBA doesn't really come through on TV. And it doesn't really come through if you're in the upper deck in the arena. But if you ever sit close enough you can see just how much contact those guys have to fight through on almost every single possession. It's kind of amazing actually. They could call a foul every five seconds if they wanted to.
  5. That can't continue.....can it?
  6. They lost that game??? Wow.
  7. Virginia seems to be the front runner. Not too dissimilar a style. MSU was really on Joey. All depends on who has room.
  8. That rule is gone. I think you just can't transfer within your conference. They can go anywhere outside the Big East.
  9. Hausers both leaving MU: http://www.wtmj.com/news/report-sam-and-joey-hauser-to-both-leave-marquette/1069221146
  10. Even with Griffin Detroit is down double digits.
  11. They could maybe trade out of the late #1 pick this year into the 2nd round and get a 2020 first back as well. Cleveland doesn't have a 1st round pick. They might want to get in at #30. They're at #49 so there would have to be some other picks involved to make it work.
  12. Let's have any pitching specific posts go in the existing thread on pitching. Keep this one about Stearns and his promotion.
  13. I think we have heard you loud and clear - you want Stearns to get pitching and you think the Brewers have plenty of money to acquire said pitching. Time to move on.
  14. I'm trying to think of an elite non-pitching prospect who blew out a knee/elbow whatever and never did anything afterward. I'm coming up blank. Mat Gamel I guess but he wasn't elite by any means. Anyone else?
  15. I am saying any stat that fluctuates so much game to game is not that great a barometer of success. Brewers could literally have a better ERA than the Reds after one homestand. At the very least the jury is out on whether or not the pitching coach is missed or not.
  16. Perhaps the Derek Johnson pixie dust isn't as magical anymore. Brewers team ERA: 23rd Reds team ERA: 6th I realize this post was from awhile ago, but I for one sure miss DJ. Any stat that can swing your team from 23rd to top 10 after a single game is probably not worth using.
  17. Only golf bet I make is that an International guy wins the PGA Championship.
  18. Game 1: 6 p.m. Sunday at Fiserv Forum on TNT Game 2: 7 p.m. Wednesday at Fiserv Forum on NBATV Game 3: 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20 at Little Caesars Arena on ESPN Game 4: 7 p.m. Monday, April 22 at Little Caesars Arena on TNT *Game 5: Time TBD, Wednesday, April 24 at Fiserv Forum *Game 6: Time TBD, Friday, April 26 at Little Caesars Arena *Game 7: Time TBD, Sunday, April 28 at Fiserv Forum
  19. Well said. I think each of the young guys has shown some really good things and some really bad things. Woodruff has a .440 BABIP against. No way that stays put. Burnes spin rate is elite and he is getting a lot of swings and misses. The problem has been missed location. When he has missed he's been hammered. The thing to remember about his hard hit rate is that it's only slightly worse than Jacob DeGrom's which speaks to small samples as much as anything. Peralta is kind of who he's been - great for one start or most of a start and then bad for a start or an inning. No reason to panic just yet.
  20. Jay Bruce has 9 hits. 7 of those are home runs.
  21. Locking this one. We will start a new thread for '19 - '20.
  22. Chris Sale was hitting 93, 94 today. He gave up a bunch of runs again but at least his velo seems to be returning. I bring this up as a Chris Sale fantasy baseball owner.
