  1. Ok. We may have just missed it, but could not recall a pitch above 94. That's what really concerned me. Per MLB.com he topped out at 95.3 MPH
  2. Last time he threw back to back was Aug 29 - 30. 2nd game he went three up three down no K's and got the save against Cincy.
  3. Yep. I can't believe a few were defending that. It made no sense then and looks even worse now. If Keon Broxton is who you need to send up for your biggest scoring chance when you're carrying 14 position players, you screwed up. Broxton was put in for defense. He's not in the field.
  4. I'm just going to assume you meant to put Beastie Boys at #2 and spaced out. Good lord. As a proud member of the "I bought Paul's Boutique before it was cool to own Paul's Boutique" club, I hereby rescind my cool card.
  5. Boys ranked: 1) Frosty Boys 2) Boyz n the Hood 3) Nasty Boys 4) Boys from Brazil 5) Backstreet Boys
  6. Funny, I thought the disservice is all the posters jumping to conclusions without a fraction of the information... information they aren't entitled to, unless they view themselves as entitled... What conclusions did anyone jump to? You're reading what you want to read and not what I wrote. If it's something Adam McCalvy wondered about, it stands to reason a few fans would wonder about it too: Brewers officials are declining to specify what prevented closer Jeremy Jeffress from participating in Monday's NL Central tiebreaker game at Wrigley Field, where Josh Hader covered the final two innings, including a two-out at-bat against Javier Baez in the ninth inning that seemed perfect for Jeffress. But Jeffress will be a full participant in the NLDS, both Counsell and general manager David Stearns said. Jeffress' agent, Joshua Kusnick, said the matter had nothing to do with drugs or alcohol. Jeffress has been open about past battles with both. "He is perfectly fine. He's on the roster, no restrictions," Counsell said.
  7. "Alberta"
  8. Thanks Josh! That answers every question. Smart move by Jeremy to eliminate temptation. That guy has meant so much to this team this year. Again, why not just say that in the first place? Just seems really strange for the team to use the "undisclosed reasons" line when it's a mundane reason. Given JJ's history it really does him a disservice.
  9. I think there's something to be said for winning the division. At the very least it will be a constant reminder to all Cubs fans of how their 2018 season ended. Beats the Wild Card banner at Miller Park anyway.
  10. Throwing money at perceived problems is how they got that Heyward contract. I have no doubt that Harper will be a Cub in 2019, though. I'd say Machado is 50/50 to be one as well. Think I read they are already on the hook for $136 million next year.
  11. And the Cubs window closes just a little bit more.
  12. Obviously Baez will do something annoying.
  13. Well that was anti climactic.
  14. Technically that was a fielder's choice
  15. I have zero faith in Desmond to get a hit even if Parra gets on.
