  1. because he has like a .960 OPS against LH batters...Jennings has a .530 OPS against LH batters...it was the right move it just didnt work out Sometimes the right decision ends badly.
  2. Well that will make for some interesting commentary should the Reds win...
  3. As long as game stays tied, I see someone hitting a dinger in the 9th to win it.
  4. Giant fireball in Alabama last night. Might have shifted the space time continuum.
  5. If he goes another inning without giving up an earned run he gets credit for a quality start. Doesn't matter if he gets a quality start because back the 90s Cal Eldred ended up being a flop so the Brewers have a history of not producing home grown pitching and because of that the Cubs got Daniel Murphy and now that Darvish is out for the year Stearns still made a bad call signing Chacin who is TERRIBLE away from Petco. I'm done with this team. Traded away ALL of our top prospects for a few rentals and Yelich doesn't even have a good launch angle and Thames isn't a .300 hitter like he was in Asia so that was false advertising and now that Scooter fixed his swing the Brewers don't have a good 2nd baseman because Schoop is terrible. Done with this team. Even if we make the playoffs its not like we are going anywhere probably just lose the play in game and even if we win that it doesn't matter because we couldn't get Archer. I promise you Wade Miley isn't going to amount to anything. Should've just signed Lynn or AT LEAST traded for him, but no... Khris Davis is another name I can say out loud. This team is so Brewers. I'm done. I'm just done. I want everyone to know how much I know about baseball and it is SOOOOOO like Travis Shaw to keep trying to pull outside pitches and why wasn't Hader brought in in the 3rd when Guerra was in trouble, could have saved us 3 runs and we'd be winning. I would've traded Knebel this offseason because relievers all fall apart just look at Papelbon. I'm so done with this team. Why do I even turn the TV on? If Ted Thompson would have just traded for Moss... ahh, dang it sorry... and why can't Kratz catch a baseball? If Hader was pitching there he would have caught it. It is so like the Brewers to only score 5 runs on this scrub and then not score any for 2 innings. Terrible offense. This defense is terrible too. Today was the worst I've seen in any game since the Bill Spiers days and I've seen A LOT of games. Trust me. I'm a huge baseball fan and I know a lot. Jeff D'Amico, Jeff Juden, Kevin Seitzer. Look at all the names I know. This is unforgivable. Just wait, I promise I won't watch another game if they don't come back and win this. I'm so done. The Cardinals got Mat Adams. What a talent that guy is but we just sit here with our guys like they are suppose to improve on their own. What a waste. Taylor Green never got a fair chance. That's on Stearns. He should have known about Yelich's launch angle. Do your homework you nerd. I'm out. wut
  6. Probably because everyone knows the Nats are going to ask for more than most teams would be willing to pay. It's a weird situation because they didn't decide to sell until after the non-waiver deadline, but now that they've decide to be sellers, they're still in a position to ask a lot. Kind of a perfect storm for blockbuster waiver deals. I love that the Cubs continue to be ridiculously all-in in a season in which they probably had an 80% chance of winning the division anyway. They're really slamming face-first into a wall of diminishing returns on their win-now moves. Classic Theo, pedal to the floor at all times...until you've used up all the resources. Then leave and move on to the next big market team in a favorable situation. Hello Angels!
  7. For the life of me I have no idea why there are organized leagues for any sport for kids under the age of 8. It's ridiculous. Unless of course this is the only way to get kids outside and exercising.
  8. If they are all night games I feel pretty good about their chances.
  9. The scary world of rentals. In such short samples of a few months it is almost a total lottery of who will actually be hot. Yup. Could all change tomorrow of course.
  10. Manny Machado with the Dodgers .784 OPS Mike Moustakas with the Brewers .816 OPS
  11. They were 2-5 on the road trip before the last game, that's all it takes around here. No blue, all true. I mean they're in a playoff race in mid/late August. Things get tense. It's understandable. What I don't understand is when people chicken little in May over a bad road trip.
  12. @Iowa @ #14 Michigan @ #10 Penn St @Northwestern *eyeroll* so if they don't beat anyone good they should go to the playoff? Tougher than last year. That was the post.
  13. @Iowa @ #14 Michigan @ #10 Penn St @Northwestern
  14. I've started the thread....might need to check the links though

  16. Aaron Ashby has the makings of a stud.
  17. It's fine to disagree but don't call people's opinions "idiotic". If you don't like where the board is going post something to improve it.
  18. Aguilar can play third in a pinch. It'd be different if Davis could play 1st but he can't. It's one thing to quibble with the return on the Davis trade (duly noted....again). It's another to think he would be a fit in the NL.
  19. They weren't, they said things that made it sound that way, but they had to know. The problem was the people here who continuously made accusations that he'd be back this year, help us down the stretch and into the playoffs. This news is not disappointing to me because I said from day one that anything we got from him this season would be a bonus, and I did not expect to see him this season at all. I was told a couple of times I was negative, and was wrong. In the end, I was realistic, and correct. Congratulations
