  1. Agreed. He literally just need to be a slightly below average hitter to have tons of value.
  2. DHL. Not only is there no facility anywhere near me, they also don't give you a delivery window. Wish it was FedEx (6 blocks from my house) or USPS (4 blocks from my house). Any Amazon Lockers near you? That's been my go to recently. That's assuming you order things off of Amazon obviously.
  3. Why do people not see the value of a lock-down bullpen? Particularly on a team with starters that have trouble getting past the 5th or 6th inning.
  4. I think that's pretty much all you had to say. Good trade.
  5. Ted is also in one or two fishing hall of fames. Talk about a renaissance man.
  6. Sold a huge chunk of the farm for a controllable all-star.I didn't see any other teams making that kind of deal.
  7. The most valuable asset in baseball is starting pitching and Milwaukee ain't signing the likes of Chris Sale as free agent to fill in rotation gaps. To trade away guys like Peralta and Burnes for half a season of Machado is not wise use of assets. Now if they were getting 1.5 years of Machado then maybe you do it, but for a rental that is an awfully risky move and could easily take you out of the playoffs for years to come.
  8. Ah yes, the ol' "move your gold glove outfielder to 1st base to make room for questionable minor league talent" play. Love that one! I don't necessarily disagree with your point but Yelich does have negative defensive WAR this year. Per Fangraphs anyway.
  9. I find it interesting that threads like this show up after a losing streak. Rarely do we see them after a hot streak.
  10. I think we're done here.
  11. Aguilar is suffering from leg cramps apparently.
  12. Have the Brewers ever had a minor leaguer with a 30/30 season?
  13. My take is that he did it for shock value and to maybe get some sick laughs and he can't quite figure out how to explain that.
  14. Unlocking if people want to comment on his apology. Keep it civil and on topic, please.
  15. OK we've had our generational fun...time to get back to the Machado trade
  16. I think everyone has made their points on this one. If anything new happens we can open it up again.
  17. Arcia has an 823 OPS away from CS. Santana's is 692.
  18. Wait, so are we giving Doug Melvin credit for Zach Greinke here? Because he was an offseason trade, therefore not decisive...right? maybe he's referring to Shaun Marcum
  19. For the record, I am part of Gen X
  20. I was agreeing with the poster I quoted and referring to that article. Referring to the article as idiotic is not allowed? That's a new one, and would seem rather selectively enforced. The poster used the article to represent their position. It was the same as calling a post idiotic. If you have seen other instances of people calling others idiots or calling out ideas as idiocy please flag them.
  21. People have done reasonably well keeping this non political and respectful. Please continue to do so without resorting to calling someone's ideas "idiotic".
  22. I assume Allen will remain the closer?
  23. For those that don't remember, Mejia was one of the guys in the trade Lucroy nixed.
  24. He is having a bad year but he had oblique issues which he is just now getting over. I expect his second half to be pretty good.
