  1. Taking over managing to new levels.
  2. Agreed. I just thought today would be a good time to start the thread with a clean slate. Although the phrase "Hand regression" does open up a world of possibilities.
  3. Nelson was placed on 60 day DL. Is that retroactive to a spring training date? Not sure how that works.
  4. Guys I deleted the first two responses to this thread. Let's start fresh and talk about the game, baseball, cheese sandwiches, etc. and try and refrain from posting about other people's posting habits. One person has been banned so hopefully that cleans things up for everyone.
  5. Get back to posting about the game. That goes for everyone.
  6. I actually think that was the team president more than Thompson. Stupid yokels called and complained about potentially getting Moss.
  7. I seem to recall that he was incredibly slow....to the point that it was a running (pun intended) joke. Anyone else recall that? In 1978, he had over 700 plate appearances and struck out 35 times. Different era indeed.
  8. This is like when that Vikings guy tried to scam them out of like $100 grand.
  9. I thought the same. We hate Oliver Drake, but let’s get excited about a guy who doesn’t strikeout many and likes to walk many. Yay? He will be a last guy in the pen at best. I guess maybe you can hope to catch lightning in a bottle(over perform drastically by luck). Oliver Drake has more upside in my opinion and is better. Though I feel better with Jennings putting up better stats. Elite at inducing ground balls.
  10. Also, some people are ticked he blew the save and don't want to be reminded of it.
  11. FYI for you out of towners.....the Brewers game is the "free game of the day" on MLB.tv
  12. yeah I don't remember. I think it might have been wishful thinking. Maybe back when he was on the White Sox and the Brewers traded for Marcum instead.
  13. Waiting to inevitably sign Daniel Hudson after he was released today. Only half kidding... I think. Didn't the Brewers have a deal in place for him a while back? And then went another direction?
  14. Meet your 2018 Milwaukee Brewers - Orlando Arcia and 24 1st Basemen! That'd be a good band name: Orlando and the First Sackers
  15. That's fair. This is definitely related to the outfield log-jam though, and started with a conversation about wanting to give Phillips more of a chance. Signing Cain after they acquired Yelich was a pretty big surprise and many here still question it. It's fair to be for or against the signing and for or against trading him if they stumble, but acting like trading him is some kind of taboo under the circumstances is zealously conservative. It's one thing to be "against" trading him. It's another thing to think that the odds the Brewers DO trade him to be slim to none.
  16. Bill Simmons was at the game and said the Bucks have plenty of talent they need a coach with a clue.
  17. I wonder if that Finke kid would give UW a look? Grad transfer from Illinois 6'10". I think they offered him back when he was in high school.
