  1. I'd like to see Alex Cobb if the years are right.
  2. I will trust Attanasio's business acumen in regards to real estate development.
  3. I'd be curious to know if season ending injuries (mid season or earlier) are more prevalent now than 20 years ago. My hunch is yes simply because the athletes are so much bigger and faster than they used to be. F * M = A and what not.
  4. The area isn't all that bad there's really just nothing nearby - particularly during the day I don't think there's anything to worry about and that's when 99.9% of spring training games occur there. There are certainly worse neighborhoods in Phoenix. This is not about maximizing the fan experience. This is about facilities upgrades for rehab, extended spring training, AZL, etc.
  5. Cheap land? They control all the revenue? Not sure.
  6. I would have no problems if the Pack didn't win a game the rest of the year. You get a top 10 pick and you already have an elite QB. That rarely happens.
  7. Capers had 3 years to pair Clay Matthews with one of the best pass rushers of all-time who is still one of the top sack leaders this year back at Carolina in his late 30s. Perry had 11 sacks last year and was kept. Daniels in prior years was one of the better pass rushing 3-4 ends in the league. Regardless of who he's had Capers has still failed time and time again to field a successful defense. They have had teams with a good pass rush. Unfortunately it was when they had awful defensive backs. And they've always had glacially slow linebackers who couldn't cover anyone. That's why tight ends typically have field days against GB.
  8. Packers have no pass rush. That puts a lot of pressure on the d back and if a QB gets hot like Stafford did last night it can make for an ugly outing. Ted hasn't put together a decent defense since the Super Bowl win. This is on him.
  9. I was pretty disappointed in most of that roster offensively. But when you look at that league as a whole no one really hits at all. So let's see what happens next year. His swing is so nice it would shock me if he didn't hit.
  10. My GF bought me a membership to the Music Box here in Chicago for my birthday. Looking forward to seeing The Disaster Artist when it opens in December.
  11. Kobe King and Brad Davison might be really good.
  12. I had a friend who had inside sources with the Brewers during Ned Yost era and he said Melvin's leg started shaking when they offered up Capellan.
  13. If UW wins out they're in. No way a win over OSU doesn't move them ahead of 1 loss teams.
  14. This bull market is insane. Seems that right about the time everyone starts talking about when it will end is about the time it will end. So any day now?
  15. Gen X is still Gen X and is still the best generation ever. This is not an opinion this is fact. I'm a generation X'er and the generation before the baby boomers were the greatest generation ever. No. All they did was win WWII. We watched Alf.
  16. Gen X is still Gen X and is still the best generation ever. This is not an opinion this is fact.
  17. Mizzou is a Top 10 team where? My bad. I read it wrong. Top 10 recruiting class per some people. They are in the "also receiving votes" category of the AP pre season top 25.
  18. Seems like the definition of Millennial changes by the week. I miss Gen Y.
  19. Yeah there's absolutely no reason to extend Shaw particularly with Erceg waiting in the wings.
  20. So they've now beaten Mizzou (pre season top 10) and UNI (pre season #2 pick for MVC) in scrimmages. I think this team and a few of the freshmen are really going to surprise people.
  21. I don't see any flexibility with Gordon which is why I think Stearns would pass. He can only play 2B (although I think he played a handful of innings at SS last year) and is not a switch hitter.
  22. I have a feeling someone will overpay for Betances.
  23. Giannis is only 22.
