  1. I think these three guys are locks (I doubt they trade Yo): Peralta Gallardo Estrada Lohse is a probably After that, I bet Doug signs a vet. I don't think he trusts Burgos or Hellweg or Thornburg to fully commit a rotation spot to one of them.
  2. Estrada since he came off the DL: 44.2IP 42K 8BB 2.62ERA .828WHIP
  3. Yeah it's not so much the fact that those pitchers are lucky, it's that they're old.
  4. Pirates pitching has been ridiculous this year. Is that due to the defense? Maybe, who knows? But I'd be really surprised if Grilli, Liriano, or Burnett have similar success two years in a row.
  5. I helped create this submission video for my friend in Janesville. He's trying to become host of a travel show for a web site called Jauntaroo. He and I would appreciate it if you could give it a "like" and help him win. Thanks! http://www.bestjobaroundtheworld.com/submissions/view/15423
  6. Larry Sanders is just about my favorite Buck since Ray Allen. Not that he's a hall of famer or anything but the dude is just a cool cat.
  7. If it was a provider issue wouldn't it have only happened at home? I had the same issue on any network.
  8. OK in case anyone cares I finally fixed this. It was bugging the crap out of me. Strangely enough, it took a You Tube video resolution to fix it. Here it is: Basically, you have to change your DNS to some Google Public IP address that's available on their developer page. If anyone knows of a reason why I shouldn't do this please let me know but as of right now everything is hunky dory.
  9. Jose Pena finishing strong at Helena. 5 homers in his last 10 games.
  10. Check out the first post in this thread for an example. There's a vocal segment of the board that is saying "nanny nanny boo boo" to people who don't expect this level of power to continue.
  11. I hope Scooter breaks the all time home run record.
  12. Yeah, I think Francisco's best MLB options are as a power bat off the bench or a DH. And since he can pretty much only mimic a first baseman, I don't see a future for him in the NL.
  13. Good catch. Yes, it did include numbers with runners on base. Even a bigger gap.
  14. I agree with this but have no proof obviously. It also could be that plenty of guy threw their arms out years ago but they just never made it past the minors. At least in this day and age you can come back an elbow injury.
  15. Allen Craig's career slash line (1391 PA): .306/.359/.496 Allen Craig's career slash line with runners in scoring position (401 PA): .392/.450/.635 Discuss
  16. Scooter Gennett played about 450 games in the minors. He hit a total of 26 home runs (highest slugging percentage was .463 in A ball and a whopping .371 in the launch happy PCL this season). Are you guys actually saying that the .538 slugging percentage in 37 games in the majors are what we'll see going forward? Because if you are saying that I would like to bet you a lot of money that he won't come close to that.
  17. Braun's issue at third was throwing. He wouldn't have to do that much at 1B.
  18. Now TJ Quinn is tweeting the anti-semite stuff as if it was fact. As for the statement, I agree he needs to face the press in person at some point and answer every question. Also, I have doubts as to his timeline of using only in 2011 but I guess even if that is the only time he used I still wouldn't believe him.
  19. I bought Top Secret at Best Buy for $5. Felt like I was stealing it.
  20. Garrett's Popcorn is a big thing for visitors. They have multiple locations around downtown.
  21. There's a walking architecture tour as well. You could go on one of those double decker tour buses. You could go on a boat tour down the river. You could rent Segways and cruise around Grant Park. There's a Segway place on Jackson - not sure what it's called. You can also head out to the planetarium and check out the view of the skyline. It's the most impressive view, IMO. Will you be there on a weekend? I assume so. There's a massive farmer's market in Lincoln Park you might look into. Just walking around Millenium Park is neat - lots of free art to check out (i.e. the Giant Bean, the reflecting pool, the crazy band shell, etc.). You could take a water taxi to Chinatown (picks you up on the river under the Tribune Building I think). As far as pizza, you will still wait at lunch time for Geno's or Lou Malnatti's - especially during high tourist season and especially downtown. Plus deep-dish takes a long time to make which cuts into your already short stay. Not sure if they're open on weekends, but there's a sub pace called Fontano's on Michigan that is outstanding. http://www.fontanosonmichigan.com/ If I think of anything else, I'll edit my post.
  22. Francisco is not a 1st baseman, he's a DH. I'd much rather let Khris Davis just takeover at 1st and see what you have. His defense can't be any worse.
  23. Wait, huh? Shyam Das didn't do his job properly? I'm confused with all the pronouns.
