  1. Well that was a pathetic defensive display in the first quarter. Knicks looked like they were running layup drills.
  2. Sheets, Gallardo, maybe Higuera? I can't think of any other homegrown guys that had decent careers. And Higuera hardly had a career. Guess you could argue the same for Sheets.
  3. I haven't seen too many games but his swing is terrific. If there's a hole I haven't seen it yet.
  4. Bradley with 40 pitches in 6 and a 1/3 innings. That is efficient. Wow.
  5. I'm swamped with a project until early May. Might be able to help a day here or there but probably not until about May 10th or so.
  6. I think I found a winner!
  7. Well it's been three years. Guess the guy needed to start annoying me again. This time he/she is playing "Walk Like a Man" by Frankie Vallie on a loop. It only plays about three bars then repeats. Not sure how long it's been going on but at least 30 minutes since I first noticed. It's faint but once I go to bed I'm sure it's all I'll hear. If you want to hear what I'm dealing with, listen to the first 18 seconds, then listen to it 100 more times in quick succession. http://youtu.be/-tWvYaiOmRs
  8. This. I also think it would be an awesome PR chance that the Brewers would jump all over. We should start a campaign to have him throw out the first pitch!
  9. I just have to say I think it's really cool that a guy from Italy likes the Brewers. It's not like he was born here and moved away. He's an actual Italian! I bet the Milwaukee Journal would be interested in writing a story about you. This seems right up Jim Stingl's alley (he's a columnist at the newspaper that does human interest stories).
  10. If anyone is interested, here's the link to the Lexington, KY police scanner. Couch fires galore! http://www.radioreference.com/apps/audio/?action=wp&feedId=7032
  11. There's a lot of sub text going on. And the show represents the character of a changing America in the 60's. There are a ton of very subtle references to homosexuality, race, religion, politics in nearly every show. Also for fans of visual design, it is probably the most cinematic of all TV shows in that its lit and shot very much like a full length movie. The writing style is also very "discreet". They don't hit you over the head with things but give hints as to how a character feels. For example, last night when Don called to check up on Betty, you could tell that Henry was really steamed at her for going to Don and telling him about her tumor. This is punctuated when he tells Betty that it was "nobody" on the other line. Kind of have to think through the emotions and motivations of each character in this show. Unlike CSI or Law and Order where basically what you see is what you get.
  12. That KU win pretty much guaranteed me 2nd place in my 50 person pool.
  13. I seem to recall the small ball stuff got better as last year went along....as in, not used as much.
  14. As crappy an owner as Herb has been I really think he's committed to keeping the Bucks in Milwaukee and won't sell unless a new owner signs some agreement to keep the team in the city.
  15. I think Wolf is like Mickelson - he needs everything perfect in order to be successful. Throw a small wrench in the works and it completely throws him off his game.
  16. Jerry Sloan is up there too.
  17. I doubt the Indians do the CC trade again in retrospect. Ugh, must suck to get nothing for something. It'll be interesting to see how the Greinke trade turns out.
  18. M.L. Guy is the new Whoa Solvdd!
  19. He was already guaranteed to be around for the next 4 years Right, but I said five years
  20. The cost certainty and potential for improvement make this a solid deal, IMO. Not only that but if Greinke is comfortable with Lucroy and knows he'll be around the next five years he might be more apt to stay. I don't think that's really that big of a stretch.
  21. Ding! Ding! The Cards are really old all over the field. They will have to be extremely lucky with injuries to stay on top of the division.
  22. Exactly. Buzz grew up in Van Alstyne which is less than an hour from Dallas. If he still has family there and SMU is willing to pay him as much or more than Marquette, why wouldn't he go there? SMU won't let him cover up transgressions by his players?
