  1. I thought this was about GME at first
  2. This board has been clamoring for "consistent offense" as long as I've been on here. It used to be the brewers hit too many home runs and didn't hit for contact. Now they are hitting for contact and hitting a good amount of home runs but apparently the offense is not consistent. So how does one build a lineup that is consistent? Also, what is "consistent"? They are middle of the road in terms of K% (12th) they walk a good bit (5th) they are 9th in home runs, 3rd in OBP, 6th in SLG...what else do they have to learn how to do? Their team offensive numbers are nearly identical to Philly. Does Philly have a consistent offense?
  3. I happen to think getting Mitchell back will help the offense.
  4. they've had a few wallscrapers. Contreras was robbed yesterday of a dinger.
  5. I realize Koenig was the "opener" but guy can't throw more than 5 pitches? Was he hurt?
  6. I don't think anything is "proven" until the season is over.
  7. That catch Pham made to rob WIlliam of a homer was ridiculous. I don't know if they caught this on TV but the sound he made slamming into the wall was really loud in the stadium.
  8. I would barf if that's the lineup. But Murphy might say "Hey w Peralta out there we only need to scratch across 2 - 3 runs". Give me Ortiz at least :)
  9. First in-person game of the year for me which means the JV squad will probably all be starting :)
  10. We can't deal in hypotheticals because we have no clue what other deal the Brewers could have gotten. We can only evaluate the trade and following trades as they occurred. It's very possible the Brewers were a lot higher on Gasser than the prospect raters and thought it was a great return.
  11. I don't really care how strong the trade was on the day it was made. I care how it turned out over the long run.
  12. Ortiz is rapidly turning into my favorite player.
  13. In case anyone saw the initial report and didn't see the follow-up:
