    If the Brewers swallow Furcal's entire salary, the Dodgers might not ask for as much in return. I don't know what package the Brewers could put together to both get Reyes and not hurt their chances this year or next.

    I think I'm going to get a second opinion on the repairs. I checked Yelp and there's a place not far from me that comes very highly rated and apparently the guys are Jeep junkies. Thanks for the info guys. And Teatoe - I think that's what this guy wants to do - make the repairs himself and then re-sell the car. Can't fault him for that.

    I have a 95 Jeep Wrangler with a blown engine. It still runs but only on two cylinders so it tops out at about 30mph. It's got about 90,000 miles on it. The repair shop said it would be between $1500 and $2500 to fix it - basically they said it needs a new engine. A guy at the shop offered to buy it from me and I'm just curious if junking it would give me more money or not ( asked the guy what he wanted to pay and he said "A couple hundred bucks. 200, 300, 400, 500" really, that's what he said). Anyone sold a car to a junk yard recently? How much do they normally pay? I will call around before responding to this guy but I wanted to see what experiences others had with this.

    Good to know. Thanks! Is it some kind of pop up that creates a new tab? I'm just curious why it started happening. I have no plans on clicking anywhere inside it.

    Rluz would tell you the batting order is pretty inconsequential so I don't know why it's even being brought up as some sort of magical reason to show manager is incompetent. Within the context of one game it is, but over the course of a season you are giving Gomez way too many at bats for what he gives you. I'd rather have a better hitter bat 2nd and give that guy more at bats than Gomez.

    I'm a Mac user and something has happened a few times in the last few days that's odd so I thought I'd ask about it here. I use Firefox v 4.0.1 as my primary browser. Twice in the last couple of days I've been poking the internet and a new tab will open up that looks sort of like the Finder screen for Mac except it's a tab within Firefox. It says there are viruses on my computer and I need to run some scan. I just close out the tab because it looks fishy to me. Is there a scan I can do on a Mac to look for funny stuff?

    Quick update: Braun's current stat line (NL rank in parentheses); BA .309 (16) RBI 33 (3) HR 12 (1) So he has some work to do http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif In all seriousness though, he has a chance to put together a 30/30 year (30 dingers, 30 stolen bases). I think the 30 home runs is almost a foregone conclusion. He's on pace for 29 stolen bases right now. With RR's propensity to run I wouldn't be shocked if he did it.

    When time has told us then we can make the assessment. Doing so now is a bit early. But as of right now I can say he's been bad since the start of the year.

    I don't want to make this a political epidemic, but DWI is an epidemic in this society. Just check the news, almost every day you either have a death attributable to it or someone getting arrested for their gazillionth time. I think we need to start making the penalties (legal and other) more severe.Deaths due to drunk driving have dropped by 1/2 in the last 20 years. It is definitely a problem but a guy threatening someone with a bat in front of little kids is just as bad.

    How many people get suspended from work for getting a DUI? Unless you have a company car or drive for a living of course.

    Brian had talked about doing an amnesty day for all the banned posters. In a way I hope he doesn't because I guarantee I'd get nothing done that day.

    The top of the order for BC is a pretty intriguing bunch. 1 - 4 is pretty solid.
