I think there was a line while Ken Watanabe was lying on the carpet near the beginning. I assume Nolan was trying to show the muddled nature of dreams/reality. I agree it was a gutsy choice if intentional......but then again, the whole film was pretty gutsy from an intellectual perspective. You get that kind of leeway when you make a film as successful as Dark Knight.
  2. "If the JS writers see this and run with it, please note that it was culled from brewerfan. " Think it was mentioned in the in-game thread on JSOnline yesterday.
  3. Is the DSL normally a really strong pitching league? I noticed there's only one .300 hitter on both the A's and Brewer roster tonight.
  4. Brockness Monster is a rebounding machine. Our depth in the front court is ridiculous right now. We should destroy any team's reserves.
  5. Way to jinx him, Mass. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  6. I thought a big part of the problem is that Milwaukee has a combined rain and sewage system. So all the rain water gets mixed with all the waste water. The costs to separate the two is astronomical not to mention it would be a giant headache for everyone. So the alternative was the deep tunnel project which isn't quite big enough to handle torrential rainstorms.

SPOILERS Question: I don't understand how Cobb got from his meeting at the table with Saito (old guy version) all the way back to reality. It's possible he never made it back. Remember the top kept spinning at the end.....I guess it wobbled a little right before the blackout but I'm sure that was on purpose to leave it open to debate.

Actually I did have that problem. Although it may have been the theater I saw it in.
  9. I really think Burgos has earned a return trip to Appleton. He's making the Pioneer League look just silly.
  10. Anyone seen it yet? I'd like to hear others thoughts on it. I thought it was terrific but maybe a bit too much exposition. Please alert others if you have spoilers. Thanks!
  11. From the BFan interview with Kevin Goldstein earlier this year: BF: Okay, last guy—holding out any hope for Cutter Dykstra? KG: Zero. Easily the most disappointing guy on the team. Just horrible at third base with both mental and physical errors, bad footwork, not much of a hitter, and he's not a runner anymore, that's the real concern. Scout had him at 4.25 [seconds] to first base last night, and he was booking it trying to beat out a ground ball. So max effort and he's average. I just don't see anything there, and I can't find a scout who does either. So he's either hurt, lost a step, or was dogging it.
  12. I realize you bumped Khris Davis 13 spots but I think he should even be a little higher. Are you holding back because he's 22 in A ball? I'd love to see a promotion for him (once he recovers from the HBP injury) to see what he can do against better competition.
  13. Taylor Green with his 4th home run in the last 8 games. He's really starting to mash. Great to see.
  14. Taylor Green is on a nice hot streak. 951 OPS his last 10 games.
  15. Anyone know why Khris Davis left early?
  16. "Fredrickson, Adams, Arnett I think go to show that picking college arms is not as much safer than going with a High School arm as people think." I think the reasoning behind taking a college pitcher is that they are less likely to get injured...so says Bill James.
  17. Yeah his last three or four starts have been amazing.
  18. Sure, give the money but do it anonymously. I can see your point but another thing to consider is that by using your name you may inspire someone else of the same stature to donate to a cause as well.

  20. Burgos seemed to figure out whatever it was that needed figuring out. His last four outings (including tonight): 30 IP 3 ER 18 H 34Ks 4 BB
  21. According to that website only two players ever hit the tree. One was Eddie Matthews. http://www.digitalballpar...om/SouthAsc/Ponce11.html
  22. Taint McFadden
  23. Gah. You're right. I mis read the box score. My bad, Kyle! Khris Davis is filling the Matt Laporta sized hole in my heart.
