  1. I'd be willing to bet that approximately 15% of Brewer fans know who Zach Braddock is and approximatley 60 - 70% of those people post on this board.
  2. I don't know if anyone would be into this kind of thing, but my friend started a company that makes an attachment that puts stripes on your lawn like a golf course or a baseball field. It's only available on walk behinds right now but will be available for riding mowers later this year. Lawn Stryper
  3. Just a note that if you go searching for the video, there is a Trojan virus attached to it. not that I've searched or anything...
  4. There's a rumor floating around that the Bucks traded Malik Allen to the Nuggets for swingman Sonny Weems.
  5. I think getting Halladay is as much about 2010 as it is about 2009. Having a full season of Gallardo and Halladay would be huge. There would still be some holes to fill but having two potential 20 game winners on your team would be a nice thing.
  6. How bout Meeks? Lighting it up last night. Another 2nd round steal?
  7. 8.5K/9 isn't good? I know that's really good for a starter but are relievers held to a different standard?
  8. The place at Mayfair is pretty decent. Used to be a T&G. I think it's called Blue or something like that now.
  9. Found this on CNN: But White remains confident he'll eventually sign Fedor Emelianenko, the Russian heavyweight considered among the sport's top pound-for-pound fighters. Emelianenko fights in Anaheim, Calif., on Aug. 1 to finish his contract with Affliction, and White said he'll go after the Russian striker with an open wallet. "Eventually, Fedor is going to be here," White said. "I want him to come to the UFC. ... We'll do Brock vs. Fedor, and it'll be a huge fight. He's obviously contractually obligated to fight (in Anaheim), and once that's over, we'll see how it goes."
  10. Anyone watch the game tonight? JA is 8 for 12 from the floor and 7 for 8from the line. Just curious if his points are all in the paint or from the outside. I will say that he's been getting to the line quite a bit this summer which is a good sign.
  11. Hmmm, good question. I'd say pre batting stance change just for the comedic effect.
  12. I was going to say Counsell and Kendall.
  13. Yeah, seems a stretch to put a rookie in that role but Papelbon did it (exception to the rule for the most part). I'm just excited to see some possibilities internally for the role rather than banking on a one year stop gap.
  14. I'm probably getting way ahead of myself, but is there even a remote possibility that the Brewers let Wooten close for the big league club next year? His peripherals are amazing over two levels (44K/13BB in 30 IP). At the very least he has to be in the conversation for a late inning role of some sort. Same goes for Braddock - (53K 7BB in 34 IP).
  15. I've seen shirts suggesting the Cardinals insert objects into their, uh, Albert's last name.
  16. People that are quick to praise Jack Z and rip DM need to remember that the team's goal all along was to build through the draft. The core of a small market team has to be built that way. The rest of the pieces are filled in with middle tier free agents. DM picked up a ton of guys off the scrap heap for nothing and rarely gets credit for that (it's happened so often that it's got to be more than chance at this point). My only issue with Melvin to date is that he hasn't procured young talent with every deal. I'd rather get a young A ball arm than Laynce Nix for example.
  17. True it's very well connected to the city (I"m just a handful of Red Line stops south myself). It does have a nice little downtown but if you are going to go to Chicago to shop and sight-see, why not just go to Chicago and shop and sight see? My point is that Evanston doesn't really offer anything unique. Not saying it's a bad place or anything, but if you are visiting Chicago once a year I probably wouldn't make a trip up there. Again, I'm not ragging on someone for living there at all - but it'd be like visiting Milwaukee and spending all your time in Waukesha.
  18. No offense to anyone that lives in Evanston, but it's more or less a suburb on the lake. You could walk around Northwestern and look at the lighthouse I guess. If she wants to see the lake you guys could drive south a few miles from Evanston and go to Montrose Beach - not as crowded as North Ave and easier to park.
  19. If you look at Santana's (a change up artist) numbers against lefties, they are actually worse than against righties. The opposite of what you'd expect.
  20. True, but the pro clutch crowd will seize on a handful of ABs as proof of clutch when it is anything but proven.
  21. Don't get me started!!!
  22. If it is BL it's the scene when Jeff Lebowski's landlord is holding his dance cycle at the local theater. Donnie, Jeff, and Walter are talking about where the little Larry kid lives.
  23. True. And let's face it, they were just going to tread water until that happened anyway. Would have been nice to get someone with some upside for Jefferson but cheap players of that ilk are few and far between.
