  1. If the JS blog is up in arms over this deal, it's probably a good trade.
  2. Hint #1: He's got a connection to Milwaukee
  3. Had Gallardo not gotten hurt, I wonder if Melvin makes the CC trade? I still would have. Imagine that threesome.
  4. I think we should make existing members re-apply periodically - like going to the DMV every 10 years to get your eyes tested. That would be fun. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  5. http://i174.photobucket.com/albums/w118/1005fahr/gwsy.jpg Who am I?
  6. SeriesFinale, Well done on the Shane references.
  7. I'll second Rubio's. I try to get fish tacos whenever I'm out in Cali and if all else fails I end up at Rubio's.
  8. Question: Why is it that the BC Game #2 box score link opens in this window, but all others open in a new window?
  9. So Sabathia is pretty good. 68 pitches through 6? C'mon.
  10. I'm not sold on this at all - particluarly because most people on the JSOnline blog think its a good idea http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Seriously, I looked at Bush's career numbers and they are profoundly better at home. The question is, if he stops pitching on the road is he still going to be as good at home? I don't think this is a really good idea.
  11. Jack In the Box actually has the cleanest meat processing operation of any fast food restaurant. It was put in place as a direct result of the issues in the 80s. Read Fast Food Nation - it's all covered there.
  12. I just saw a matinee. Great flick. I love it when the 'super hero' movies have a dark edge (no pun intended) and this one surely does. Ledger is outstanding - creepy, frightening, and hilarious all at the same time. My only complaints are that Nolan's 'message' is pretty overt - I'd have preferred more subtlety - and I think they cut out about 30 minutes of footage which probably tied some things together. One other issue I have I'll let go until more people see the film and I can share some spoilers.
  13. Craig, People in wisconsin are tough.
  14. from urban dictionary: The term 'Bogart' as it has been defined here only exemplifies part of the meaning. It has nothing to do specifically with 'hogging' a joint or smoking in general. It is a VERB describing an act of boldness and fearlessness as was exhibited by Bogart in most of his film roles. You Bogart your way into your boss' office when you don't care what the secretary says. You 'Bogart' your way into traffic when no one will let you into your lane and you 'Bogart' a joint when you could care less that anyone else is waiting for a hit. This is the real origin of the term, "Don't Bogart that joint." If you think you're just going to 'Bogart' me around like this, you are mistaken.
  15. I love In n Out but I also love Culver's. For those that have tried both, which is better? In N Out fries win in a knockout for sure.
  16. Better than me? Don't confuse witticism with improvisation.
  17. "I stopped at Sonic for the first time about a month ago only because I thought the commercials were hilarious." All those commercials are improvised. The blond guy in the passenger seat teaches/performs improv at IO theater in Chicago. He's considered the best improviser in the country. When In n Out first came to Phoenix there was a two hour wait at lunch.
  18. Yes, but the sales tax in cook county is the highest in the nation.
  19. In n Out burger. Yum.
  20. I'm confused....did Pena get called up?
  21. "Brett is 6 feet and 200 pounds of lean muscle. He has a 46-inch vertical leap." Wha?????
  22. Maybe he works there. And taxes are lower outside Cook County - which includes a lot of the North Shore (Lake County).
  23. UWM is not tier four relative to all the other public schools in the state.
  24. "hundred yuppie d-bags spend their disposable income." It's just one more example of high paying jobs leaving the city/area. I'm not totally convinced it's the taxes that make companies leave. I do think there's a lack of entreprenurial spirit in Milwaukee. I mean how many big companies have sprouted up there in the last 20 - 30 - 40 years?
  25. along the Yellowbrick roooooooooooooooaaaaad, Waaahaaaaaaaaaaa. Whoooooooaaaaoooooooo.
