Pass over my post. I am looking for logical posters that can explain to me why OBP should matter in an All Star game? No one said it should matter. All Russ is saying is that he has a different way of valuing/voting for players than other people do. If you want an all star game to be a beauty pageant, vote for the pretty stats.
I've lived in both places - 4 years in Phoenix (Tempe and Scottsdale) and 3 in Milwaukee (as an adult - I grew up in Wisco). I HATED summers in AZ so I can see where you are coming from. But I could easily be a snow bird. The weather from Late Sept through Memorial Day is awesome for the most part and has been mentioned Flagstaff is very much like northern wisconsin (lots of pine trees, very temperate climate). Not to mention the state taxes are almost non existant in AZ compared to WI. All in all, AZ is just OK to me. I hated the car culture there and all the strip malls and the heat in summer but there's a lot of natural beauty - moreso than WI IMO - and I will put Scottsdale women up against women in any city in the world....and I'd win easily http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif And who goes to AZ in the summer time? Did you not know it gets to like 115 on a regular basis in mid June? I didn't get allergies until I moved to AZ. The Phoenix valley is notorious for it.
Cain's already been sent back to Brevard. http://forum.brewerfan.net/search.php?keywords=371956/t/June-Transaction-Thread-Latest-Cain-Back-to-High-A.html
Well that hit was a bit 'lucky'. It was a ground ball to a place the defense wasn't. I reference my earlier post and ask why he can't do it in other siutations? Say 2nd and 3rd or any time a guy is in scoring position.
Actually Madison has cracked down on a lot of minor offenses in the last 10 - 15 years. I think it's just growing pains. The population has really increased in Dane County.
Funny this topic comes up today because just last night I was out to dinner with my mom and saw a guy wearing crocs. I thought to myself "I didn't know guys could wear those.".
I just wish people on both sides of the vegetarian issue would stop judging those on the other side. If Prince wants to go veggie, good for him. If it affects his performance on the field (which I really doubt) I'm not going to get mad at him if he feels so strongly about it.
"signed, A healthy, vegetarian athlete who can probably out-run, out-swim, out-bike, and out-lift 99% of the people on this message board" God I admire you.
He may not have even made it to the clubhouse. This could all be conjecture based on Hall's trade request, Prince's sulking about his contract in spring training, or Braun's comments after the Boston series. Put it all together and one could opine that the Brewers have clubhouse issues. I don't think this would necessarily affect performance on the field though.
Agreed on Green. He's 4th in the league in OPS and the top five or six other guys are all a couple years older for the most part. Taylors numbers compare very favorably to what Gamel did there last year (850 OPS) at the same age. Be kinda cool if he blossomed in the same manor at AA.
