  1. I was at the game tonight sitting in the same section that Bartman did. For some reason the bleacher crowd was giving it to Braun tonight -although it wasn't all that bad - but when he threw out that dude at home via the relay everyone sat down....except me. I'm drunk...shut up.
  2. Nice, I can follow BC and Huntsville before heading down to Wrigley!
  3. Consensual sex with 12 year olds is rarely prosecuted?
  4. That whole lineup from top to bottom is pretty darn good. That team should put up some ridiculous numbers this year.
  5. Yeah, I think I'd need to see another start or two before getting worried. My guess is he bounces back to form.
  6. I agree that the serial killer thing is far fetched but even in my most drunken stupors I never fell down while urinating. I guess I'd be interested to see the spots they are falling into the water - maybe it's a blind drop off or something.
  7. There was nothing worse than being a Brewer fan at the game where Ramirez hit the walk off last year.
  8. The nice thing about parking at Howard is there are no transfers whatsoever. I live very close to the Western stop on the Brown Line and it's a really nice neighborhood with a lot of street parking. From 94, take the Peterson exit east, then take a right on 41 (lincoln avenue). You'll run right into the station just south of Lawrence (about two and a half miles). If you take the Brown, you can get off at Southport and walk (right out of the station, right on addison) or you can transfer to the red line heading north at Belmont and get off at addison. I've never had a problem with Cub fans but I've never sat in the bleachers either. As long as you are obnoxious the worst you'll get is some ribbing. There are a ton of restaurants up and down Clark St. Goose lsland has some good food and beer.
  9. Periard's K:9 and K:BB are really nice. I look forward to seeing what he can do this year.
  10. I think people sometimes boo that move to be funny. It's almost a cliche to boo that move and the fake throw to third and then turn and look to pick a guy off first. Everyone boos that too.
  11. I will say that I think MNS is a better director than a writer. He is really good at building suspense and is willing to be patient and take his time in order to get the desired effect.
  12. "Because random team name changes are silly. Just ask a Marquette Gold fan. " So I take it you still refer to the Angels as the California Angels then.
  13. His movies have gotten progressively worse since 6th Sense. Although I did enjoy Signs. Lady in the Water was awful.
  14. You can get a five year fixed loan?
  15. Gamel is hitting .488 his last 10 games (21/43). Wow.
  16. "It is the best feeling knowing that at 30 i am have no major loans hanging over our heads. With that said though i will need to be getting a newer car in a year or so, so i will be jumping right back into the pool. But with that said it feels great today. " You should take the money you were using to pay down debt and invest it to pay for the car. So if you were paying $500 a month for your house, put that monthly $500 in a money market or mutual fund or something.
  17. Outfield loge are the best seats for the money, IMO.
  18. I've never been more embarrassed to be a brewer fan as that opening day in 2005. Good for Helms.
  19. He finished with 10K's in 4IP. I think Zach is back. EDIT: Greg beat me by a minute! What an impressive start.
  20. "I would still take Zack Jack over Eveland any day. " Zach Jack's ERA is close to 9.00 at Nashville. No way I'd take him over Eveland.
  21. I have been 'worried' about Brantley's lack of power but if you look at a guy like Tony Gwynn Sr. he didn't slug over .500 until he was 27 years old. Granted, he only played about 155 games in the minors, but he is a guy that developed SLG later on in life.
  22. What about Chris Carpenter? Also, the Cards made the playoffs twice before Pujols was called up (96 and 00)
  23. "Ugly save, but we will take it. " He walked a guy. Big deal.
