Well according to JSOnline this morning. Weeks has been benched indefinitely in favor of Counsellino. I still think he should go to AAA to get his stroke back because he's potentially much, much better than either of those guys but frankly, he looks like a little leaguer out there right now. www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=634627
When I lived in Milwaukee and flew through O'Hare I used that Wisconsin Coach Line bus all the time. It was awesome when my flights were delayed. Although I suppose it depends what time you land because traffic might be pretty bad at peak hours (like 3:30 - 6:30pm or so).
I think if every rumor Gammons reported came true there would be about 500 trades a year. He just reports what he hears - obviously not all of them are going to happen.
I wonder what Dwight Gooden would have to say seeing as he had a bit of a resurrgence for the Yankees and grew up with Sheffield - actually, Dwight is Gary's uncle isn't he?
Agree with Bruce. Other than Orel, no former player has been useful at all. They all pretty much sucketity suck suck (and that includes Reynolds). I'd rather they have Gammons, Olney, and Kurkjian on every night than some jock that can't put a sentence together.
To me, the only injuries that get me all in a huff with a pitcher are those involving the arm or the elbow. Since Sheets has not had either I'll chalk this up to bad luck. I guess he may be brittle but at least he ain't broke. Given the laundry list of ailments, he's starting to remind me of the hypochondriac kid in junior high that misses 1/4 of the year with some new mystery illness every semester.
Ennder, Weeks has had one month over .750 OPS this year - April. Although, Russ' post showing the other slumps has tempered me a little. I'd be willing to give Weeks a few more, uh, weeks before considering a demotion.
Yeah, but Russ they are in a pennant race. As I mentioned earlier, it's not 2004 anymore. I think Rickie should be sent down until he gets his head on straight. If not, I hope he figures things out sooner than later because he's been really dreadful the last month and wasn't exactly lighting it up since April either.
I recently left my company to go to a competitor. As a result of that move, my company immediately terminated me instead of letting me work for two weeks (understandable)....so I was locked out of my computer without being able to backup my music. I got a new computer from my new company and downloaded iTunes, but I am worried that if I synch up my iPod it will erase everything on the iPod since the newly downloaded iTunes on the new computer has no music. My question: Is there a way to upload music from an iPod to a computer? (added tags --1992)
Weeks needs to go down to AAA and get his stroke back. This isn't 1999 or 2000 when the Brewers could afford to let a guy struggle for a month or more. They are in a playoff race and right now they are a better team with Graffy starting at 2nd everyday.
Gregg Jefferies might be a better comparison since they played the same position - granted he came out of high school and I believe debuted at age 19 but his minor league OPS was over .900 and his MLB career OPS was around .768 or something.
