  1. Didn't AAA go with the 24 man roster for the whole season a couple years ago?
  2. Bork, of that list I guess Wegman, Eldred, and Plesac are the only ones that would qualify as being good. Eldred and Wegman also had some injury issues as well. I forgot about Bosio and Navarro. That 1992 starting rotation was 80% home grown with Bosio, Navarro, Wegman, and Eldred.
  3. Anyway, I'm trying to come up with some names of pitchers the Brewers drafted and turned out to be pretty good. I don't know about being pretty good, but guys who at least pitched a while for the Brewers: Wegman, Plesac, Henry, Eldred, Karl, D'Amico, Woodard, Sheets. Will Jefress make it to AA before needing surgery or will it happen before than?
  4. What about Barnwell? Is he elligible after being dropped from the 40 man?
  5. Why do they always change my radio station to Christmas music in NOVEMBER? I like Christmas music, but there are 80 million Christmas songs to choose from. Do they have to play the same 20 over and over? Good thing I have 60+ Christmas CDs to listen to.
  6. What's up with all the Christmas stuff going on clearance already and it just turned December? I did get some great deals on Christmas decorations at Menards this weekend, but clearing out Christmas stuff already? Will the summer stuff be out by the time Christmas is here?
  7. Good projection. As usual, there are a bunch more pitchers than roster spots. There are a few pitchers not listed. This is always the hardest part to predict, so it will be interesting to see where guys end up (or get released)
  8. I can never tell who calls because it's always on the answering machine with the beginning of the message chopped off. Not that I listen anyway.
  9. I'm really getting bugged by the "non-apology" trend. I see this everywhere now. People (often celebrities or politicians) get caught doing or saying something wrong. They say something like "I'm sorry if I offended anyone". So you're not sorry for what you did or said, just sorry that people are offended. That's not an apology.
  10. Haudricourt finally picks up on the story. JSOnline
  11. Of those 4, I think Villaneuva is the only one you can say that the Brewers developed. He came as a relative unkown and started in rookie ball. The other were pretty advanced already.
  12. i'm a loser because I seriously check BF 10 times a day Only 10 times? You need to do better than that to be a true loser.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  13. I think you start from the outside and work your way in with the silverware. Of course, most functions I go to it's "save your fork for dessert", so I could be wrong.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
  14. The reason Hall was called up was because he was out of options That part actually isn't true, he still has an option left. Hall was certainly called up before he was ready.
  15. This also seems like something that would really help the NBA, with these young kids coming into the leaque and not knowing a thing about being on their own.
  16. I'd venture to say that not too many Americans would know what to do at a place like this, much less young Latin players. I know I'd be lost.
  17. The Brewers announced that minor-league pitchers Joe Winkelsas, Allan Simpson and Chris Mabeus also elected to become free agents. All three saw action with the Brewers during the 2006 season. Winkelsas? JSOnline
  18. with nix gwynn and nelson in Nashville Does Nix have any options left?
  19. Not too much to worry about this year, but there will be some tough decisions next year.
  20. I didn't want to start a new thread for this. I noticed that Villaneuva's last start of the season put him over 50 innings. Yet another graduation from the Power 50.
  21. If the report is true, it will be nice to have some affiliate stability. It seems like we've been on the affiliate carousel over the past decade. We haven't kept all our affiliates for more than 2-3 years since the mid-90's.
  22. Maybe he's just trying to follow Sheets' example.
  23. I believe the Brewers would have to designate them for assignement if they don't make the 25 man roster. Then they would have 10 days for them to either accept the assignment, work out a trade, or become a free agent. I'm not sure about the roster implications for a team that would acquire them.
  24. Once the season ends, there is no 25 man roster, only the 40 man roster. The 25 man roster does not return until final cuts need to be made at the end of spring training. So the Brewers really don't have to make a decision on them until the end of spring training.
  25. Oh, I got it now. I'm a little slow this morning.
