  1. Yount has got to start speaking up and telling Yost when he's making stupid decisions. Down to the last out and you don't put Weeks or Clark in to pinch hit for Moeller? Leaving pitchers in when it's obvious they have nothing. Come on Ned!
  2. We read the report from the Nashville City Paper that LHP Zach Jackson, not LHP Justin Thompson, will pitch Friday night for the Sounds, so keep that in mind. McCalvy is reporting that Jackson will swap with Hendrickson. Jackson will start Saturday and Hendrickson will get bumped to Sunday. McCalvy Notes
  3. Who's really pitching for BC today? I'm betting Yo doesn't get two games in a row. He was lights out after the first yesterday, so why not? It should be Wahpepah if the rotation holds.
  4. Wow, nice line by Eveland. Only 71 pitches in 7 innings? No walks and 8 K's. That Nashville rotation is going to be fun to watch. EDIT: The boxscore just changed. It had Demaria in the 8th, but now it shows a complete game for Eveland. 97 pitch complete game, very impressive. And 11 K's. With Fielder graduating from the Power 50 in the next couple weeks, is Eveland making a push for #1?
  5. Good to see Escobar taking walks this year. He had 20 all last year and he's already got 5 this year. Also good to see Krynzel walking and succesfully stealing bases.
  6. I would post a comment, but the rules against swearing prevent me from doing so.
  7. Come on. Let's get a home run and get this one over with.
  8. Ben's done after 75 pitches. Great outing. See ya Sunday!
  9. One more inning for Big Ben, then do we see Little Ben finish it out?
  10. Sheets looks filthy. Welcome back!
  11. I noticed a few issues with the minor league rosters. Parejo should be moved from R+ to A+ Johnson should be removed from the A+ DL Yeatman is missing from AA Zumwalt should be moved from AAA to AA Ozeki is still listed on the AAA roster.
  12. Tony Gwynn with a bases-loaded triple, the most exciting play in baseball Hurricane with a bases loaded tripple deja Vu?
  13. So is Mike Jones the 5th starter in BC? With Jones and Pena on strict pitch counts, I wonder if we'll see them piggyback this year.
  14. Turnbow time. Keep adding to that record for most consecutive games saved to start the season.
  15. Two-run HR for the all-or-nothing man of the Brewers farm system, Jeff Eure. The new 3TO? Or is he 2TO?
  16. And then there were three. Detroit and St Louis join the Brewers as the only undefeated teams.
  17. Cardinals take a 4-2 lead, but Rollins now 0-3.
  18. Go Phillies. Knock off St Louis to leave us as the only undefeated team in the NL. Phillies escape a bases loaded jam in the 3rd to maintain a 1-0 lead. Rollins 0-2 so far. Needs to go hitless to stay behind Molitor.
  19. JS has the full salary list for the Brewers this year (although they missed Hall). Mainly the minimum guys need slight tweaking on the Salaries page. www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=412699
  20. From the Brevard County thread. A late McKnight for Bell swap. Injury perhaps?
  21. Based on the A ball rosters posted in the Brevard County thread, the noted missing names appear to be Durost Thomas Hinton
  22. I only see 24 active names. Could Hinton be an oversite?
  23. Fernandez has been terrible in 2 starts, but he's been pretty solid in relief appearances. And good to see the bullpen throwing strikes. Capellan, Lehr, and Wise all are at 2.6 BB/9In or less.
  24. Check out these spring numbers for the 13 guys likely to make the team (through the 5th inning). .313 AVG .395 OBP .523 SLG .918 OPS All that, and they're only costing the Crew $28.5 million.
  25. Good to see Davis pitching well. It seems like forever since we've seen him in a big league game this spring.
