  1. With Lee and Weeks ready to return soon, we should finally have the full lineup back for the last week of spring training. One week for Hardy and Weeks to get some work in together on the double play. Bet Yount will be working overtime.
  2. Bush now has 20 innings in 5 starts, with 20 hits, 2 ER, 2 BB, and 14 K. ERA of 0.90. Lyle who? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif Edit: I finally get my 1000th post and I can't become an All-Star. I wanna be special like Russ.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. It's looking more likely that Fernandez will make the team, so a DFA is looking like a good bet.
  4. Does he have the option to refuse a minor league assignment? No, since he isn't on the 40 man roster. He only has a minor league deal.
  5. Any talk about Sheets during the game? The JS is reporting that Yost named Davis the opening day starter. Sheets will probably start on the DL and have a rehab stint in Hunstville.
  6. JS reports that Villanueva has been assigned to minor league camp, no mention of which team (Hunstville?). They should have said optioned. www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=409410 With the last split squad game over and with a day off Monday, I would imagine we'll see a number of moves soon.
  7. Here is the starting lineup for the Brewers (8-7), who have lost four of their last five games eight of the previous 10: They really are struggling. Losing 8 of 10, yet they only have 7 losses.http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  8. The Brewers now have 44 players in camp including nine non-roster invitees. This means 35 players left on the active roster, but I only saw 4 options (Jones, Nelson, Parra, Eveland). Did we miss an optioned player? Did Irribarren get optioned already? EDIT: JS is reporting that Gwynn and De maria were optioned to AAA and Irribarren to A+.
  9. I did a double take when I saw the Yahoo box score say the Charlie Fermaint pitched 3 innings today. They must have mixed up his number with Fernandez. But that sure would make the Fermaint-o-meter go nuts.
  10. This thread is only missing one thing before getting locked. http://www.savethelemur.org/images/ruffed-lemurs-small.jpg
  11. Congrats. How about an ad campaign involving squirrels?
  12. I finally sprung for EZ Supporter. Now I can read guilt-free. Thanks Brian and staff.
  13. It's going to take some time for Prince to shake the rust (or splinters) off from not playing for the past month and a half.
  14. Just wondering if we are going to have to look at that depressing final score on the front page during the entire offseason?
  15. Milton (8-15) allowed two runs and five hits in seven innings, and his seven strikeouts gave him 999 for his career. And we make Milton wait another year for K number 1000.
  16. 8th best home record for the Brew Crew!
  17. When is Turnbow Arbitration eligible? 2007
  18. I know Santana was good with inheritted runners, but that was months ago, before the DL
  19. Isn't Durrington an emergency catcher?
  20. Milton and Glover both pitched well in their previous starts, but two 6+ era pitchers with a 1 hit shutout? Yuck.
  21. The QS numbers are pretty close compared to last year as well. 2004: Sheets - 70% Davis - 70% Capuano - 47% Santos - 43% I believe Sheets also had 8 tough losses and Davis had 7. I thought I read that Davis is tied for the league lead for most quality starts over the past 2 years.
  22. Hey it's already a walkfest, shouldn't JDR pitch the 9th so we can get to double digits in walks?
  23. And whatever happened to holding inheritted runners? Oh yeah, Santana got hurt.
  24. Last year, we were 3rd lowest in the NL in walks allowed. What ever happened to that?
  25. Capellan has been pitching well lately. I wouldn't mind seeing him get a shot in close games.
