    Especially after he just 2 hit the Brewers through 6 1/3 innings in his major league debut. That's really nothing special. Rookie pitchers always mow down the Brewers in their major league debuts.

    Well, Corey Hart got the start in CF today and had an OF assist. Let the speculation begin, just like when Cruz played one game there.

    So Hart gets a game in CF now and he also gets an OF assist. It appears likely that either Hart or Cruz (or both?) will be a backup outfielder for the Brewers next year.

    The organization is now only 18 games under .500. Take away the 5-25 start by West Virginia and everyone is 2 games over .500. Quite a turnaround from the 55 games under they were just a couple months ago.

    We are still 29 games under 500 as an organization. But that's a huge improvement over the past 3 years (69, 46, and 54 games under. Especially impressive when you consider West Virginia started off 5-25.

    Is Bradley making a case for that vacated Nashville rotation spot? And the Helena offense has left the building. West Virginia should be fun to watch.

    4 more guys moving up to West Viriginia, according to the transactions. Any details? Who gets moved from West Virginia? My guess is Mannon and a catcher get bumped down. And a couple pitchers get bumped up at each level. Edit: And Lewis hasn't played in a while. Is he hurt?

    I noticed a few roster issues. First of all, shouldn't players on the DL still be listed? Some are and some aren't. What I've found: Huntsville - Sarfate and Wolfe are missing. Jones is listed but not Saenz or Parra. Brevard County - Soto is missing, Wolfe should be removed West Viriginia - Johnson and Festa are missing And based on last night's games, it looks like Miller to WV hasn't happened yet.

    Magruder must be hearing those footsteps getting pretty loud behind him.

    What's up with the position players pitching today? Is that West Virginia box score correct? Brady came in a got a K and a BB while Rogers played to OF? Then they switched back. Huh?

    Take away the 5-25 start by West Virginia and the Brewers organization is only 5 games below .500. Even the 25 games below .500 is impressive, when you consider they were 55 games below .500 not too long ago.

    The two transactions leave the Sounds two players short of the 24-man active limit. I see Obermueller isn't on the roster yet. Shouldn't he have already joined the Sounds?

    After so many hot and cold streaks by the players, it's interesting how many of the Brewers have ended up in the 270's now with OPS around 800. It's been so long since we've had even an average offense, it's hard to remember what it was like.

    Wow, all of our hits and walks have come from the youngsters today. Doesn't look good for today with the rest of the team stinking, but the future looks bright.

    How about a Katin for Mannon swap? Has Mannon even played in the past month? And has Obermueller been spotted near the Sounds recently? First, he's rumored to get sent down.     Jenkins had a big 2nd half last year as well. He had 7 HR and 24 RBIs in the last month of the season.

    How much longer before Costello gets sent back to Brevard County and someone else gets a chance in Huntsville? Give Habel a shot if they don't want to promote Villaneuva yet.

    Good to see the promotions. But that Huntsville disabled list is getting longer than the active roster.

    Is it the coaching staff or the organization as a whole? It seemed like every level had at least 2-3 errors, baserunning mistakes, etc yesterday.

    I actually feel pretty good about seeing Moeller out there now. But I also have more confidence in JJ than Billy over the past couple weeks. How things have changed.
