  1. I voted for Nightmare, but think a great song for a closer is Godsmack's "I Stand Alone" or System of a Down's "B.Y.O.B." just because the lyrics don't matter and the music would absolutely crank with the roof closed.
  2. How many guys acted like that in college who you didn't personally view as a complete tool while you were in college? Doing dumb things and keeping them off facebook has nothing to do with being less of a tool, it just keeps the knowledge of how big of a tool you are from reaching a wider audience.
  3. At no point has Prince's FA been about winning. It may be the way he plays the game and feels, but his contract will NEVER be about winning. Follow the money, it's ALWAYS the money.
  4. I bought the Canon HF20 last fall and the picture and sound are absolutely awesome. The biggest problem is my laptop is now vastly underpowered to process the files efficiently and I had to buy an aftermarket program to Format HD dvd's.
  5. The prices haven't budged since the second week of January when my friends and I started looking at dates and flights. The price sucks, but it's nothing shocking like my buddy from San Fran who is meeting us there ran into. Usually SFO-PHX is easily under 200 round trip, instead it's almost 350 now.
  6. Just booked direct flights on US Scareways March 24th-28th for $400 a person, ouch. The upside, that's when the weather is reliably warmer and the Brewers play at home Friday and Saturday.
  7. You'll never get 185.2 innings of 3.73 ERA Free Agent pitching for the same price that Hoffman will command next year.
  8. That's a rather disingenuous statement saying Weeks keeps taking himself off the field as though he could simply tough out his injury or somehow prevent it.
  9. I still hope for the best but, I certainly no longer believe this team has a shot at the playoffs even with a trade for pitching.
  10. From the same newspaper that gave us more than one plagiarist in the last decade alone?!
  11. Admitting denial is the first step in rehab.
  12. I don't buy that the team isn't this bad given they are 19-30 since June 1st. The pitching has landed in the ocean of reality and the team is going down with them.
  13. It's time to put Bill Hall in the starting rotation and show everyone what the Brewers are really made of, for that matter, put Hardy in the bullpen and go for broke. Intentionally not blue.
  14. Can't win if you don't play, so please count me in Pedro!
  15. I really really hate the way Kendall gets credit for his defense when his pitch calling sequence is responsible for the tied ballgame.
  16. Might want to replace ASTROS with TWINS in the thread title. (done - hawing)
  17. I'm not certain what to do about the batting order as I think the best thing to do is just have Rivera catch Bush and Parra to limit Kendall's exposure offensively. Just look at the everyday 1-8 OPS and see how far off Kendall is. Weeks .842 Hart .764 Braun .1071 Fielder .945 Cameron .985 Hardy .687 Hall .826 Kendall .503 Edit to add: I would rather have a high BA and low OBP, high SLG player bat 8th because I have no use for a guy whose only skill batting in front of a pitcher is getting to first base at a mediocre rate. I want someone capable of driving in runs or himself into scoring position without being ibb to face the pitcher, or having the pitcher drop down a bunt constantly. The second sentence desribes exactly what I see in Kendall as a hitter.
  18. Marine GPS are offered by Garmin. I just replaced my Tom-Tom with a Garmin Nuvi 285 from Best Buy since it was on sale for $220 which is a great deal. You can use the where am I button anywhere and it will give you your latitude and longitude reading along with Elevation. From that standpoint it would show you where you are on a lake, but the marine ones actually include lake details such as depth, breakwater, and other amazing features. You can also add POI's that you create with a simple add-on you download from Garmin. Good luck with your search but I would start by looking at Garmin.com and then search out the reviews of 3-4 that you feel would best serve your needs.
  19. The other team kicks the ball out of bounds because they expect it back when when play resumes. If that didn't happen I highly doubt they would give up the possession of the ball. I do agree with you that soccer is pretty sweet and I, for one, enjoy watching the premier leagues of Europe... MLS? Not so much, though if we had a team in Wisconsin I'd follow that too (but I suppose this is for a different thread). Back on topic: If it is unethical to advance on an injury, wouldn't it also be unethical for a fielder to tag out an injured baserunner? It is my opinion that you advance as far as you can, just like you tag the guy out if he tears his ACL rounding third. It does suck but it is part of the game. I would love to hear you tell the NCAA women's softball team last year who carried the opponent who hit a game winning homerun and blew out her ACL rounding first that they have a loser mentality.
  20. Gathright was out and it wasn't that close, another blown call by the umps and the announcers just gloss over it.
  21. How much clearer should it be that MLB would benefit from instant replay?!
  22. Even if your 2005 were done, he has to recreate them within the document in order to do your ammendment.
