  1. Hmm. Not thinking Old Neddy is going to do much tinkering with the line-up tonight. Probably pretty similar to what we saw on Opening Day against LHP Oliver Perez sans Chad Moeller. Maybe something like... CF Clark/2B Spivey/1B Overbay LF C. Lee/RF Jenkins/C Miller 3B Cirillo/SS Hardy/ P G-Love Also, while I hope you prediction is accurate Square. I'm not too confident in G-Love getting past the 6th inning. Especially considering he hasn't thrown more than 6 innings in a Major League Game since August of 2002. Hopefully, G-Love proves me wrong. I will predict that G-Love breaks the Brewers' pitchers offensive silence tonight and gets a base-knock off the soft-tossing lefty.
  2. Given the fact that G-Love in on the mound for the Brewers tonight, I think having "Baby's Got Sauce" By G. Love and Special Sauce in your head makes perfect sense Square. Hopefully, G-Love will give the Crew a solid outing tonight.
  3. Has anyone noticed that when you go to Gary "G-Love" Glover's Bio page on MilwaukeeBrewers.com. There is an action shot of Wes Obermueller? Huh? Don't they have any action shots for Gary? G-Love's Bio Page
  4. Very Beautiful Win! Good to give the fans a victory at the Home Opener. The Crew is now 3-0 in home openers this season. Too bad they don't have anymore on the schedule! 3TO worshippers will get a sabbath day on Tuesday...unless of course a PH opportunity arises. The Pirates will be throwing LHP Mark Redman against G-Love. Probably, a bit of a good thing that Obie didn't pitch today. Looking back at his game logs, G-Love has not pitched past the 6th inning in a Major League Game since August 25, 2002. So we might need Wes for a couple of innings tomorrow.
  5. Welcome Pirate Scott. You guys got some very good back-end of the rotation pitching from Redman-Fogg-Williams in San Diego. If Redman and Fogg pitch like that in this series, you guys will be fine. I watched Oliver Perez's 2nd start on Saturday. His velocity seems to be down a bit. You think his shoulder is still a bit tweaked? Might be something to watch for? His next start should be Friday against Chicago's Carlos Zambrono. Now that's a pitching match-up to look forward to...
  6. Before the series began, Ned said he expected Branyan to play all 3 games the against Cubs' 3 righties. So expect the exact same line-up out there today as yesterday and Wednesday. Actually, since Moeller will be catching, he'll probably adjust the have Moeller hit 7th and Branyan 6th.
  7. Dhonks...acoording to the Game notes the weekend is Fri: Capuano vs. Wood Sat: Sheets vs. Zambrano Sun: Santos vs. Maddux
  8. 84 pitches for DD through 5. Looks like we might get 6 out of him today. wasn't too sure of that a couple of innings ago. That 10 pitch 5th helped
  9. good point Bucky.Mac will pitch hit for Wells. He's due up 2nd in Bottom of 5th. Meadows has been up in the pen...might see him
  10. Captain Davis has thrown a lot of pitches through 2 innings. He's up to 42 according to MLB gamecast
  11. Thanks Casey. Still haven't figured how to post "pretty line-ups" yet.
  12. Milwaukee B. Clark cf J. Spivey 2b L. Overbay 1b C. Lee lf G. Jenkins rf D. Miller c R. Branyan 3b J.J. Hardy ss D. Davis p Pittsburgh M. Lawton rf J. Wilson ss J. Bay lf C. Wilson 1b T. Wigginton 3b T. Redman cf J. Castillo 2b B. Santiago c K. Wells p
  13. From the Notes: "IN THE PEN: Following Santos to the mound today will be RHP Matt Wise (#38), RHP Wes Obermueller (#33) and RHP Mike Adams (#46)."
  14. According to the notes, "IN THE PEN: Following Davis to the mound today will be RHP Ricky Bottalico (#52), LHP Tommy Phelps (#41), LHP Jorge De La Rosa (#47) and LHP Dana Eveland (#50)." Imagine they'll try to get around 90 pitches or 6 innings out of Doug's final Spring Training tune-up?
  15. Phew Eric. I was having flashbacks to the start of 1999 when we begin the season with 4 lefties in the rotation...Roque/Abbott/Karl/Pulsipher with Steve Woodard as the lone righty. Now watching that lefty foursome was painful.
  16. Cappie pitched the 7th. I'd imagine he's done now. Very solid outing!
  17. The last day in Arizona and Chris Capuano is auditioning for the #3 spot in the rotation. Spring Training is almost over and the new season about to begin. What a beautiful day! Count me in for the running box. I'll update within this post! Go Brewers! Line-ups.... 18. I guess Ja is on the ride home, so I'll give a quick update. I just started listening in the Top of the 3rd. Through 3 innings, Cappy has held the Padres scoreless. The Crew got a run in the Top of the 3rd. Jenkins doubled in Weeks (on base with a single up the middle). Miller followed with a hit, but Geoff was cut down at home. 1-0 Crew after 3. I'll give updates until Ja comes back Top of 4th: May still pitching Helms Po-6 Hart BB Hardy F-7 Cappy F-8 Bot 4th: Cappy pitching Loretta K (looking-- fastball inside corner) Klesko K (swinging at a change) Hernandez 1B (picked off---Cappy's move to 1st is obviously in regular season form) Top 5th: Dennis Reyes comes onto pitch for SD Clark BB (moves to 2nd on passed ball) Weeks 1B (Clark scores) 2-0 Crew (Weeks picked off) Overbay K Jenkins 2B (takes 3rd on WP) Miller BB Helms 5-3 Bot 5th: Cappy still going Greene 6-3 Young F-7 Burroughs 4-3 Top 6th: Reyes still on Hart out Hardy 1B (steals 2nd) Spivey (PH for Cappy) K (looking curve on outside) Clark 5-3 Ja is back and has restarted the running box a few posts up. So check that out. I was just filling in for him until he got back. Great to see another very nice outing for Cappy. Given his and Santos' outings lately, it looks like the rotation is settled 1-4.
  19. I'll be happy to do a running box today. So check this post for updates. FYI....Jeff Bennett, Andy Pratt, Matt Erickson, Sam Narron and Nelson Cruz optioned to Nashville...via Daron Sutton.
