  1. Larry Bird was on ESPN radio recently talking about this same debate. What he had to say was that the new team has no one who could stop Barkley at his game, that Barkley was really the best player at what he did in the world back in '92. It took a little pushing, but he did admit in the end that the Dream Team was the better team overall.
  2. Not making very much sense here. Who was supposed to tell him that he's not a 3 point shooter? Coach K? "Hey Lebron, I know you are basically shooting the lights out right now, but stop doing that because I don't like it even though it is helping us win." In the end USA wins gold with a little help from 3 point shooter Lebron James.
  3. Yeah, that 2-3 on 3 pointers by James was really terrible. I thought it was a great game to watch, a somewhat close battle throughout. Rudy Fernandez threw down a huge dunk in the 4th for Spain, Pau Gasol got a couple alley oops in the second half. In the end, the great shooting by the US team is what got them the win. Great game.
  4. Not really sure how sitting on the bench for 30 days makes you a better defender. ABs and playing time in general for callups will be slim pickins down the stretch as the Brewers look to clinch a playoff berth. And really, the Brewers backup catcher has barely seen the field this year already. Chatting with Ted Simmons is great and all, but that is something that would better be done in Spring Training, where Angel could at least see the field and put some of that new knowledge to work. Just my opinion.
  5. Gamel's had a great season to be sure, but some people choose to make an honest vote when players have had a better season. I see nothing wrong with that. Besides, who cares about this minor league stuff, I'd rather see Gamel win awards on the major league level anyway.
  6. No problem, glad I could help.
  7. Check the mechanism on the door itself - the 'receiver' for lack of a better word is probably stuck closed. See if you can get it loose. It will most likely be pretty grimy with grease so watch for that.
  8. Not sure how true it is, but I've heard that with the merger there will be an 'ala carte' option to choose up to 50 channels for $6.99 a month with extra channels having an additional cost. Since I really only listen to the MLB and comedy channels on XM, that is probably what I will end up doing.
  9. There are ads on JSonline? Weird, I never see ads anymore. (Psst. Firefox and adblock)
  10. There are ways to do the image size conversion in a batch, meaning all you have to do is prep the conversion the way you want it, click a button, and all of the files will be edited to the size that you want. I'm not a wiz with graphics programs but I know that this is definitely an option.
  11. I'll take anything but the 8/5 and 7/1 lines. He's been awful recently.
  12. One thing you could do would be to edit the files in a graphics program like Photoshop, GIMP, paint.net, etc so that they fit the size that you want to print.
  13. Looks interesting. I'll check it out.
  14. I was wondering what stats they used to come up with the statement that Rickie Weeks is "so aggressive." It definitely couldn't be the Pitches per Plate Appearance stat, easily found at ESPN.com, because Rickie is actually 9th in the entire National League in seeing the most pitches per plate appearance. Why make a statement like that without checking it out first? Just lazy. They get paid to do this stuff all day long, right?
  15. I did Perryton also, and Follett as well. Google must have taken a different route.
  16. Here's another one: Key West Florida is closer to Cuba than it is to Miami. True story, check it out: http://lh6.ggpht.com/bullox/RMLdq3zQABI/AAAAAAAAAEM/Xo-_nnxUXjY/IMG_0038.JPG 157 miles from Key West to Miami.
  17. That piqued my interest so I just google mapped it. St Paul to Dalhart Tx (northwest side of the upper panhandle) is 957 miles. Dalhart to Brownsville TX (very southern tip at the gulf) is 863 miles. It is closer than I thought it would be, but not quite as you said. Follett TX makes it a little closer, but it is still longer from St Paul. PS - wow I'm a geek.
  18. You're driving from Wisconsin to southern Alabama? Make sure you take plenty of time (a few days) to do it or you will hate yourself later.
  19. I am definitely guilty of being the guy with 22-25 items in the 20 or less lane. But really, if this is a big deal to some people, they need to find a hobby.
  20. Yo went back out and pitched against the Cubs after the injury in the same game.
  21. I recommend Infrarecorder. Not a trial or demo, full version, fully legal. Give 'er a go.
  22. AFLAC Trivia question: Who are the three players in Brewers history to have 30 HR, 100RBI and bat .300 in a season? I'm going with Cecil Cooper, Ben Oglivie, and John Jaha. Jaha just snuck in there with a .300 season in '96.
  23. About the skull jeans - I have a pair of Marc Ecko Cut & Sew jeans with skulls sewed into the back pockets. Not screenprinted. I like the way they look. I have a bunch of pairs of Ecko jeans, that's almost all I buy nowadays, but that's the only pair with any crazy stuff sewed into them.
  24. Yeah, that definitely is selfish on his part. Really, just the fact that he still uses checks for a small purchase like that (Debit card, hello) makes me think that he's a bit out of touch.
  25. Tell them this: I see no reason to not be honest and assertive about it.
