  1. I agree, it is going to be a tough matchup, but also a game to watch. Lets hope Davis keeps up his hot streak and maybe just maybe we can push across a few runs. Because if we can't get to Clemens and he goes 7 innings we have an inning to get to the bullpen before they bring in Lidge! GO BREWERS!!!!
  2. Our Milwaukee Brewers return home for a three game series aganst the Houston Astros. Tonite the Astros will send there ace Roger Clemens and his 11-6 record and 1.57 ERA in 2005. While the rest of the league has had there trouble aganst Clemens the Brewers got to Clemens in his only appreance aganst the brewers. Facing the Brewers Clemens has a 0-1, 7.11 ERA. The Milwaukee Brewers will send Doug Davis to the hill. Davis has been nothing short of awesome this year. With a little more run support we would be looking at a 20 game winner. Davis has a 9-10, 4.06 ERA in 2005 and 1-2, 3.32 ERA vs. HOU in 2005. Needless to say runs should/could and will be a rariety tonite in this pitcher's matchup Pitching Matchup MIL: LHP Doug Davis 9-10, 4.06 ERA Hou: RHP Roger Clemens 11-6, 1.57 ERA Player to watch My players to watch tonite are: Weeks and Jenkins, will Jenkins continue his hot streak and will the two days off help Weeks improve his swing? 3. Surprise Hardy is having a good day. Ned when weeks is healthy our Infield should be overybay/fielder,weeks,hardy and i would consider hall at third otherwise how about branyan!
  4. I still can't belive that we lost. But also that i was right on the score.. Should have put some money down. But who bets aganst the home team!
  5. Well I just have a feeling that we are going to see quite a few runs tonite! Hopefully the brewer bats will be on the winning end of this slug fest! ps. watch it be a 2-1 reds win!
  6. hawing you are right... Goes to show why i should not make the thread so soon after getting up! Go Brewers!!
  7. Two Right handed hurlers take the mound today in game three of this four game series. The padres send veteren Woody Williams while the brewers send recent triple A call up Wes Obermueller. Obermueller has had some good outings and bad outings. However the bad outings have out numbred the good ones. Both ERA's are rather high so look for the ball to be banged around tonite! Pitching matchup: MIL: RHP Wes Obermueller ? 1-2, 4.62 ERA in 2005 ? 0-0, 10.13 ERA vs. SD in 2005 SD: RHP Woody Williams ? 6-11, 5.01 ERA in 2005 ? Has not faced MIL in 2005 Player to watch Catcher Damian Miller is hitting a robust .529 (10-for-19) against Williams. Miller returned from an illness-induced day off and went 3-for-3 on Friday with two runs scored. On television ? MIL: FSN ? SD: Channel 4 On radio ? MIL: WTMJ 620 ? SD: XPRS, XEMO (Sp.) update: fixed the series
  8. He is so locked in.. If he does not start tommorow i am going to be pissed.
  9. Your Milwaukee Brewers will try to make it two in a row when they send out the "Hardworking gritty gamer" Rick Helling to toe the rubber. His mound foe Adam Eaton sports a 9-3 record and a 3.86 ERA in 2005. Eaton is also 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA vs. MIL in 2005. Players to watch:According to brewers.com Geoff Jenkins is 3 for 9 in his career against Eaton and should be back in the starting lineup. Television: FSN Radio:620/Brewers Radio Network GO BREWERS!!!
  10. Could be a lot of K's for both teams today! Go brewers.
  11. I agree with Brett, while he may have played in a decade that did not have much offense you always have to take the park effect in to thought. So put a no on the ballot for me..
  12. Pettite has been very very good this year. It is going to be a tough test. I have a feeling that good ole Santos is going to have trouble so if i am Ned i have the phone ready to pull Santos after the third.. But lets think positive and take 3 of 4 from the astros and put our selfs in great postion to not only make a run at the wild card but also at above .500 season! GO CREW!
  13. I think that it should be a manditory thing for the game to be shown when sheets is pitching!
  14. I think that if you took the over in the game you are going to win some money tontie!
  15. I would send him out and on the first sign of trouble i would yank him out.
  16. Great pitching by Davis. Wonder who is coming in from the pen? Maybe Jorge de la Rosa?
  17. WOW back to back good starts for Ohka get through this inning then i would think about letting him go one more inning or bringing in wise as a bridge to Turnbow!
  18. Jenkins paying off in the field now lets do it at the plate...
  19. Lets hope that our batting lineup can torch Ortiz tonite. He has been pretty bad with an ERA in the 5.
  20. I agree, at least sunday i will have the brewers to watch. Tonite i can always find something to do. But was kind of looking forward to watching the crew tonite. At least we have a great radio team to listen too..
  21. Burnie it does look like there is no TV today unless you have the major league baseball extra innings package. So listen to bob and jim whilie enjoying a cold beverage outside!
  22. I will be watching tonite. And when any mods get on can we sticky this?
  23. Our Milwaukee Brewers take on the Phillies at 6:05 CST. Cappy will try to silence the Phillies bats, while Weeks, Clark, Jenks, and Lee try to cont. the recent surge in HR's. Tune in for another episode of "Finger Nail Bitting Theater" as your Milwaukee Brewers try to take the series in the "City of Brotherly Love"! Go Brewers!!! Pitching Match up: C. Capuano (12-6, 3.5http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/glasses.gif J. Lieber (9-10, 5.12)
